This home is beautifully situated right on Suttons Bay. We walked out onto the sandy beach--just steps from the house--and spent hours kayaked around the bay. The water was a little too cold in early June to swim, but it was crystal clear and emerald green. The town is quaint, with great shops and restaurants to pick from. Two favorites were Boone's Prime Time Pub and the VI Grill. Be sure to save room for an ice cream cone after (I saw two ice cream shops right in town). There is even a small, old fashioned movie theater. After you've seen the sights, the beach at the cottage is perfect for a bonfire. And when its time to call it a day, the upstairs queen was very, very comfortable and overlooked the bay. The home had everything we needed. We only wished for a longer stay. We will certainly be back!

Northport Cottage Review

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Northport Cottage (not the one pictured) in Northport, Michigan. We know the Leelenau Peninsula quite well, having lived on Long Lake for 6 years, and found the town charming and the sights rewarding. The weather was PERFECT and the absence of bugs noticable. The racky shoreline was a bit of a nuisance, but handleable, with Tevas.
The cottge was extremely well appointed, with all the comforts of home, making it a bit "busy" for our long-term tastes, but not an issue for a vacation place, Perfect walking distance from ammenities, and a good restaurant.
I am a bit of a handy man and, so, was glad to purchase a screwdriver and a pair of pliers, for the cottage, and to affect some minor repairs.
We plan on being back, at least to the area, and will seriously consider this place, in particular!
