This was a absolute paradise. The house was exceptional, clean, large and much more. We had a superbe time walking around town and shopping at the street market just at the corner of the street. Kathy, the owner, was so organised. Her magic box with all the tourist info was very helpfull.

This house is absolutely unbelievable!! One cannot even imagine how beautiful and immaculate this house is. It's in a perfect location to walk to the town of Ajijic or the little town of San Antonio. Kathy, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with and has many local helpers while in Mexico. We're trying to figure out how to get back for a month or two. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks, Kathy for an excellent experience in dealing with you and especially for the beautiful accomodations which proved to be everything, if not more than, promised. The property is immaculately kept with regular maid and garden service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ajijic. We found many superb restaurants including Mom's for breakfast and the Argentinian restaurant, Tango, for an excellent steak. The information left at the house was a great help in finding some of these establishments. This house is centrally located and within walking distance to any place in Ajijic. It is less than a block from the weekly market and a good grocery store. No internet service proved to be less of an inconvenience than we thought as every couple of days we got to go to Tom's Bar, a couple of blocks away to have drink and get our email. How cool is that.
We drove a short distance east of Chapala along the lake to a place called Mescal. Here we charted a boat to take us out to the island to view the ruins of the old fort and penitentiary. This is a very good 1/2 day side trip. A great day trip is to drive south west of Guadalahara to the Guachimontones just out of Teuchitlan. These are circular pyramid like structures built before the time of Christ. An internet search can provide directions. During the 3 trips we have taken to Ajijic we have only scratched the surface of things to discover. We will definitely be back and hopefully staying in this house if it is available.
