Spacious 3300 square foot house with spectacular mountain views in all directions. 1+ acre gated property located in quiet neighborhood.
Three bedrooms in addition to a trundle bed and extra set of twin beds in family room with sleeping accommodations for up to 10 people, 3 full bathrooms, large fireplace, cable TV, washer/dryer.
Completely furnished with all linens, dishes/cooking utensils. Outdoor hot tub, gardens, 2 car garage. Weekly maid/gardener included.
Short drive from local attractions including: Carmel-by-the-Sea, Carmel Valley, Pacific Grove, Monterey Bay, Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, beaches, Point Lobos, Big Sur, 17 Mile Drive, numerous vineyards with wine tastings, and Pebble Beach.

Elegant Older Home!!

Location is everything for this property. Sitting on top of a hill in Carmel Valley, it was just a short drive to anything you wanted to do in the greater Monterey area. 10 minutes to Carmel by the Sea, 15 minutes to Monterey.. 15 minutes to beaches.. World class golf courses 5 minutes..hiking trails in a regional park system 5 minutes and the quaint art/wine tasting village of Carmel Valley!! (And a Safeway at the bottom of the hill for convenient shopping)! This home sits in a quiet cul de sac behind a remote control gate. Heard the neighbors dog once or twice for just a few minutes and a wild rooster a couple of times but other than that, quite heaven!!! As for the house itself, it is an older home, architectually designed. Very spacious and extremely clean. I read some of the other reviews, and yes, the house could use some updating but hey, your in Carmel..great view..clean quiet house..wineries close...what more could you want in a VRBO.. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Had a great trip!!

Awesome rental. Plenty of room for everyone, beautiful views and nice walking around the hilly neighborhood. Enjoyed spending time at the house enjoying the scenery! Also, great price compared to some of the other rental we inquired about.

Good location with great views!

The house is in a good location with great views but the interior is somewhat dated. Though the bathrooms are dated, they are clean and well maintained with good water pressure. The house is centrally located with easy drives to Fisherman Wharf, Cannery Row, Carmel By the Sea, and Monterey.

Beautiful Carmel Valley Home

My wife and I had a wonderful relaxing stay at this very comfortable hill top home. Everything was as advertised. The views were magnificent. Location was excellent for taking in the coastline from Monterrey to Big Sur. We had all the conveniences of home, including close local shopping, restaurants and wine tasting in Carmel Village. Hot tub was perfect and so was the weather. This home could easily accommodate a large family, but it was just the two of us and it was great. When we win the lottery (HA) we're coming back to buy real estate in this fabulous location.

Hi Ron,
I rented your home in Carmel in October with my Dad and college friend.
It was "heaven on earth". I have no other words to describe it.
Our visit was too short. My Dad wished we could have stayed longer at your home.
My Dad is going to be 85 on 3/2 and is been told he is in the early stages of Alzheimers.
We would like to rent your home again if possible to celebrate his birthday.
I noticed on the VRBO that your property is available all of March.
How is the weather in Carmel in March? We are looking to visit wineries, walk, drive the Big Sur and visit Hearst Castle and relax. We are not looking for beach weather.
Would your property be available Sunday 3/4 and leaving Sunday am 3/11/2012?
There would be seven adults coming. Myself, my 2 sisters, my Dad, 2 friends and one of my adult daughters.
Please let me know.

Wonderful Vacation Location

We spent a wonderful week in this fabulous house and hope to return with frequency! Great location. Well stocked. Professionally managed and a very smooth transaction. Lots of space an very well maintained. Owner called us to help us hook up the dvr - very helpful!!! We went to Monterey, Carmel by the Sea, Big Sur, Hearst Castle (make your reservations in advance and book multiple tours. Once you get up there the actual tour is really short and leaves you wanting more. Often with no more reservations available that day.) We went to the wine tasting rooms and fabulous restaurants in Carmel Valley. Napenthe was worth it and a surprisingly short wait. Even the lunch at Pebble Beach Lodge was worth it. Great food in and a fun area. Thank you for sharing your home.

We had a short, but lovely stay at this home during a weekend in Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur with a party of 5 people. Would definitely recommend to anyone as a home away from home.
The home was so spacious, clean and well maintained. Comfortable bedding, well stocked with sheets/towels/pillows/cookware, etc. The property is located on a private and quiet cul-de-sac and offers magnificent views from each room. Waking up to panoramic views of the Carmel valley was icing on the cake. Close to many amenities (grocery stores, gas stations, etc), which was an extra plus.
The property owner and manager were also great to work with -- professional and trustworthy. We had a very smooth transaction and the rental deposit was returned promptly after our stay.

Enchanting Week

Our stay at your beautiful vacation home from June 4-11, 2011, was nothing short of fantastic. We enjoyed every minute of it - from the morning coffee on the patio, overlooking the valley, to late-night smores with our girls, both grown up but still young at heart. We made several day-trips while there, twice to Big Sur (Nepenthe is an awesome lunch spot), and enjoyed the opportunity to see Carmel and Monterey - knowing "home sweet home" is just a few miles away. All-in-all, our stay was fabulous. We hope to return sometime.
