This house is the perfect place to go to if you're looking for relaxation, privacy, incredible views and indulging yourself in luxury. The architecture as well as the decoration of both in and exterior are done in such a way that you feel very welcome and at home from the moment you arrive. The house fits you like comfortable clothing. And if you want to get out: Quintay (nice restaurants) is round the corner, Valparaiso 20 minutes away and Santiago-Center a little over an hour.
We very much recommend this house and will definitely come again.
(if we, in the mean time, haven't bought our own house on the coast next to it)

Two family clan enjoyed our stay immensely! The view from the kitchen makes cooking even more enjoyable given the gourmet kitchen. Beautiful beach down below with 'muy poca gente' ! Wonderful jacuzzi and outdoor Quincho area. Bit cold for the swimming pool but the house was warm and very comfy, especially with the fireplace.
Fully recommend lunch at Quintay. Beautiful food and very pretty scenery.

we had been to beautiful Quintay for lunch and thought the area would be interesting alternative to Vina etc as a place to stay. Tunquen itself, or at least the area where the Villa is located, is amazing. Stunning views of the beach and architecturally designed houses dispersed on the cliff tops. The Villa is one of the best of them with incredible view and close to the beach. ample gardens combiend with a modern but stylish home with a gourmet kitchen, quality fittings and interesting art. We enjoyed our stay immensely and Saraya was very helpful. Owner a pleasure to deal with and really appreciated her flexibility to ensure we had a relaxing family stay. Can't wait to go back!

ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES ON EARTH!

I am writing this on our last night here, out on the patio under a dazzling blanket of stars and moonlight. Oh, what a special place Villa Tunquen is for us! We feel such a special connection for this reverent place. Our days were spend splashing in the pool, and chasing our children across the deck and into the "warm pool" (hot tub). We made sand castles down on the beach, we took walks through the gardens. We made big breakfasts, played Monopoly, relaxed, sunbathed and watched the powerful waves crash along the shore. This place couldn't be more perfect!
My husband and I enjoyed the BEST MASSAGES OF OUR LIVES from Soraya up in the Meditation tower. That Tower is fabulous - the view, the chairs, the windows - everything about it makes it one of our favorite places on earth!
We hope to be back next year. I can't bear the thought of too much time about from this serene, peaceful, gorgeous place.

A unique home with an unsurpassed kitchen! We love to cook together and our family shared food, wine and preparation. One could not ask for a more beautiful, tranquil setting to spend family time. Our children traveled from NYC, San Francisco and we from Oregon to discover Chile!

NEVER HAVE BEEN IN A BETTER DESIGNED SPACE!

Our family of four from Toronto spent three lovely nights in Villa Tunquen. The house and the views are both magnificent! I don't remember ever having been in a better designed space. No wasted space. The outdoor rooms really add to the ambiance!
We tried to sit and enjoy every area, but I think we did miss one or two.

WHAT A SPECIAL, MAGICAL PLACE!

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your beautiful Villa Tunquen over Easter weekend! What a special, magical place! And a perfect escape from Santiago! Thank you for renting it to us at the last minute. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend away. Architecturally, the house is amazing! What beautiful shapes and curves! And all of the wood - just stunning! It blends right into the hillside at Tunquen and provides the perfect resting place to renew and recharge! Your collection of Mapuche artwork and artifacts is fantastic and such a treat to be surrounded by it in the house. The kids had so much fun exploring the garden and running wild on the beach! The meditation tower was, for me, the highlight. I am a yoga teacher and to be able to start my days doing yoga from the tower with a view of the sea was the most special thing about the weekend!

A couple of sublime days at Villa Tunquen

The house and the surrounding area is so breathtaking. We spent a couple of days here and found the house to be magical. It hugged me with it's every curve, It is truly a beautiful home incorporated into the land with grace and simple grandeur. It was even more gorgeous than we had expected. The service was superb, the rooms clean and well stocked with towels, etc. We ate at Miramar Restaurant (can't remember the name of the beach/town, 15 min drive away) and it was delicious! I would love to visit again and bring a few friends, I recommed this property highly. The owner, Judy, was wonderful to deal with as well, excellent service.

Villa Tunquen is the proof that a curve can be more pleasing to the spirit than a straight line! Your house is in no way "square" and your choice to follow the landscape rather than fight it, was the right one. It allowed all three generations to discover a new self-awareness!! Every solution to the spatial problems is a success and we are sure that all your guests will "find themselves" in your house even when they do not follow the shortest point from one angle to the next. We enjoyed every corner, every opening onto the landscape, and every moment. Thank you and Bravo to you and your architect.
Also a huge thank you to Soraya, for her warmth. She is just like your house; friendly and lots of fun!
P.S. There are not so many houses that you rent and then ask to stay 2 days longer because you really do not want to leave! And the kind owner says YES! Thank you Judy..

Its so great to be back again at Villa Tunquen for the second time in 2012. What superlatives can one add to what has already been said. I just can't think of a better location for our 3-generation Chilean-American family to get together, relax and enjoy each other. And what better base from which to explore Chile's charming Central Coast.
