HomeAway Stayed Here

Review Submitted: November 13, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
This home is much better than the photos and the description on this ad. Because we work for HomeAway, we stay in many, many vacation rental homes. This home is by far THE best equipped home we have ever stayed in. The owners have everything you can imagine from a perfectly stocked kitchen, toys and games for the little ones and even a boat and kayak! The house is located in a wooded cove directly on the water. If you have infants, be sure to ask them for thier list of infant items they have. You cannot go wrong with this home!

Great location + great amenities = great vacation

Review Submitted: August 26, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
There were 10 in our party (7 adults, 3 kids) and no one was crowded at any time. Everyone thanked me for finding this wonderful place. It's private and quiet and well provisioned. The towels were big and thirsty. The bed linen was excellent quality. Everything we needed was there, and much more. We stayed 3 nights and cooked all our meals in the house. We try to plan our shared mini-vacations so that eveyone has at least one cooking day and one off day but at more than one point there were 3 cooks in the kitchen and there was plenty of room for us to dance around each other. All the kids (especially the 5-year old boy) and guys loved the dock for fishing. The pre-teen girls loved the ping-pong & kayak & paddle boat. A short trip to "The Store" in Winkler found excellent steaks and huge potatos for baking. We were very happy with our visit.

Beautiful get away

Do not miss an opportunity to stay at this beautiful lake house. It is a beautiful setting; the lake, trees, birds, herons, fish jumping in the cove. The kayak and paddle boat are a great way to explore the cove. The house is very roomy. All bedrooms very large with large closets, especially the master bedroom and bathroom! The kitchen is extremely well stocked. We had adults, teenagers and young children and there was something for everyone. We ate burgers at The Store one evening and they make the finest hamburger we've ever eaten. If you want to boat or jet ski; bring your own. The rentals on the lake are presently non existent. The homeowners are unbelievably nice and accomodating. We would recommend this home to anyone wanting a beautiful setting in a comfortable environment.

Lovely home, lovely location - very private and secluded - even better than described in listing. View from back porch was spectacular - just steps from the water. Nicest lake house we've ever rented - and we've stayed in many! House was spotless, kitchen had everything you could possible hope to need. Can't forget to mention the linens! I'd guess the sheets were 600ct at least and the luxurious down duvets - just like 5-star hotels. We will definitely come back for another visit!

Great place with everything you need! The location is very peaceful with the lake just out the back door. Easy for the kids to fish and explore the property. You feel like you are camping but have the wonderful amenities of a nice home.

This rental is PERFECT!!! Every detail has been attended to and nothing was left out. The accomodations are equal to 5 star and the location is perfect. We would recommend this rental to anyone who wants to go first class! My father loved fishing the lake, my Mother enjoyed relaxing and reading on the great porch, my kids loved all of the room to roam and play on the property, my husband enjoyed being away from it all and I loved all of the comforts of "home" but yet still being on vacation.

The rental was PERFECT!!!!!! We could not have been happier and the description and pictures pale in comparison to the actual property. Every single item we could have thought of or even wished for was already in place. Beautiful setting, 5 star accomodations, peace and quiet and great fishing. My kids LOVED making smores outside every night and the Pictionary Board. They were even sad when it was time to go home. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation and wants it to be first class!

Absolutely wonderful place to sit back and relax for the weekend. Love the big back porch facing the lake. And the most important thing for me - comfortable beds!
