One of THE best vacation experiences of our lives.

When we walked in, everyone in our family, from the 3 1/2 year old to the most senior of the group was entranced by this home and that is what it felt like. Every effort is made to make this home a fun, beachy, relaxing, getaway. We found, because of the kindness of our hostess, we didn't need to bring as much 'stuff' as we did, as soon as you walk into the door, there are items provided that make you feel as if the owner knows exactly what everyone could use on vacation and at the beach. In the hallway entrance, wonderful pictures and beach toys that put you right into the vacation mood, each bedroom was perfect for us, the one with the daybed and trundle for the little ones, the master for my husband and I and the 1st bedroom which had a wonderful bedspread and comfortable bed. And 3 bathrooms Each bedroom had books and magazines, having the computer and wireless was a total bonus as were the fans. This place feels so BIG, the layout is wonderful, the furnishings are so comfortable, the kitchen had everything from pots, pans, dishware and glasses to a blender, slow cooker, coffeemaker, toaster and any other appliance you may need. You know how sometimes you want to get out of your hotel room? Well all of us couldn't wait to get back to the condor --> (that's what the little one called it) because it was so wonderful. The property is very clean, the parking space under the building is a + in case of rain, the carts to help you get your belongings up to the room, the elevator and the pool were perfect. We could tell there were full time owner residents there but we were treated warmly by everyone and smiles were shared a lot. My Grandson fished from the docks and caught a fish on his Spiderman fishing pole and every am my husband and I would take our coffee out onto the screened balcony overlooking the river and listen to the tide coming in and the tackle on the boats clinking in the breeze... the air conditioner kept the whole house very cool, we totally appreciated the washer and dryer and the beach cart is a LIFESAVER. While you do have to walk over the river and through Folly to get to the beach (we actually drove and parked at the pier) if we hadn't had the little ones we would have walked daily. We spent 6 days and each day we found a new treasure in the house - from a wonderful picture (sit on the end of the sofa nearest the window and look into the porthole mirror for a surprise) to a grouping of shells to the fairy lights in the plants
Owner's Response: We're so lucky to have generous and caring guests like the Becca and family. Your words make me want to go stay there and hunt for the "surprise picture in the porthole"!! Thank you for being such lovely guests, and COME BACK!
