We stayed here with a 3 month old baby in August.
The chalet is so cozy and beautifully designed. The
views are awesome! Loved the deck and watching
the hot air ballons in the morning. We took walks in
the neighborhood, went to the hot springs (don't
miss Strawberry Park Hot Springs) and ate yummy
food (recommend Sunpies right on the river). We
will definately return whenever possible.

Great Winter Hideaway

Review Submitted: February 8, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
We stayed at Chalet Chipmunk in January 2009. Very nicely decorated and homey (not ultra-lux glitzy). Very clean and well-maintained. Christmas lights inside and out. Well stocked kitchen made it easy to cook in. Wi-fi worked well and was high speed. Private lot. Good size for 4 adults and 2 kids. Close to the mountain and Gondola Square (5 minute drive). Bus stop is about a 5 minute walk downhill in the morning and, grunt, uphill at night. Great views of town and valley view ski run. Margaret was great to work with. Would definately consider staying here again.

A very comfortable place to stay. This small house is on three different levels which is nice for privacy if you don't mind the stairs. The views are great as advertised and the hot tub was very nice after skiing. Kitchen well equipped. Close to the mountain but not ski in/out. The closest shuttle pick-up is fair walk down a steep hill so worked best for us to drive and park at area or get dropped off. We found it to be a good value.

The chalet was both gorgeous, and cozy. You felt like you were in the lap of luxury, while also feeling like you were in the comfort of your own home. We never ate out, because we had everything we needed to have great family meals. The chalet is perfectly located to get to the mountain within a few minutes. The snow in Steamboat is amazing. There were so many things to do that we had trouble choosing, but ended up settling on a few days at the local little hill with the kids to ride the magic carpet, dog-sledding, and a few adult days of snowboarding on the big mountain. We can't wait to go back!

We returned to the chalet in March of 2008. This time we had a almost 2 year old and a 3 month old in tow. The house was even more perfect - the kitchen stocked with all the needed tools, even spices. The views were great and so was the snow.

The perfect spot to enjoy all of Steamboat Springs. We even received a visit from the neighborhood bears. The views are spectacular from every window. Don't miss a hike to Fish Creek Falls!!!
