I just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Pacific Northwest. I stayed at the Pond House on Bainbridge Island and found it to be wonderful.
It is very relaxing and has everything one could want to forget the everyday hustle of working life. Sitting out back on the deck and watching the horses next door and seeing the pond made me forget all my troubles. I hope to return again next year to enjoy the property again.

BI Island

Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Overall this was a terrific place! The BEAUTIFUL backyard is nicely appointed and is completely enclosed by a wire fence (we had been worried about the 15 month old with us, but no concerns!). We enjoyed watching bluejays dive-bombing the pond and we visited the neighbor's horse several times. The bedrooms were ample (the master is gigantic!) and three bathrooms were more than sufficient. There were all the amenities of home and Ed was helpful and accommodating (I especially appreciated the directions he sent; many of the roads on BI twist and change names, and his directions were spot on).

We recently rented the Pond House for a week and had a terrific time.
The owner was very accomodating, the house was clean and very nicely decorated.
The back deck and yard were perfect for hanging out and barbacueing the coho salmon we caught.
I found the description of the house, amenities and p-ictures accurate.
We will definitely be back.

We stayed at the property this past spring when we were visiting family. The house is very roomy and we enjoyed the quiet, rural atmosphere. I was just on to book another stay for this coming spring. I read the hawaiian visitors review and I have to say that our experience was drastically different. The pond is lovely. There was no animal hair anywhere, although I know they allow pets (it says so on the website) and the people there before us had brought their dogs. The house was very clean and we also sitting on the deck in the evenings looking at the pond (when the weather allowed). Having horses nearby also added to the charm of the house. Thank you for a great stay!

This was a great property!!! We rented it for my wedding as a place for family to stay. They loved it. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay in one place. We even had the rehearsal dinner BBQ there. The big back yard and patio made socializing with everyone easy and fun. The kitchen was roomy and well stocked for the cooking. Everyone enjoyed playing outside and had a wonderful time. The house was clean and well decorated and had all the amenities we could want. It was a positive, wonderful experience and made my wedding weekend perfect.

Owner claimed that house had only once had a dog in it two years prior to my stay, but the house was filthy with cat urine, hair and filth. Owner also claimed that there was an extra sleeping area with 2 bunkbeds, but when we arrived would not allow us entry, and I had to cancel my nephews visit, which he had prior knowlege of from our conversations. Owner also never mentioned that the "pond," is 20 feet deep of black murky water and that it is completely unsafe, until we arrived. He knew that we had small children! We left after 1 night, and owner refused to refund even a portion of our first months rent.
