This beautiful 8-bedroom house on the north shore of Crystal Lake dates from the forties, but was extensively remodeled in 1985. It sits on a bluff overlooking Crystal Lake from 125 feet over the water, and includes 400 feet of lake frontage with a small private sand beach. It is furnished mostly with antiques dating from the 20s and 30s. Access between the house and beach is via a 1/3 mile long paved driveway/trail through deep woods. The house is in the middle of 30 acres of deep north woods. The house has one of the most spectacular views of the lake available. The house has a tennis court, picnic tables and swing set overlooking the lake, and a variety of beach toys and equipment down on the beach. A dock and swim raft, and numerous small boats are available in the summer season. In winter, the place makes a spectacular retreat center for family skiing; it is only 12 miles from Crystal Mountain.
Water sports: A number of boats are included in the rental for the summer season. There is an aluminum rowboat, with oars, and a 6HP outboard. There is a sunfish (sailboat) included as well. There are four styrofoam paddle boards, two kayaks and various other floating toys. There are several water skis available. A 20-foot Boston Whaler is available during the summer season for an additional charge of $500 per week, plus fuel. This boat requires some training before use, and is too fast for anyone other than an adult boater with some experience. There are numerous life jackets for all ages.
