I do not have enough good things I can say about this home. Honestly, if I could, I would buy it!

A group of 6 friends and myself rented this home for two weeks in July 2011 and we could not have made a better choice. Everything about the home was great, it was truthfully like a home away from home for us. The modern decorations were beautiful, the beds were super comfortable, the layout of the kitchen was great, the living rooms were spacious and clean. Overall, it was just excellent.

We also loved having the pool, and even for a hot July, it was still impressively refreshing to have a place to relax in when we didnt feel like walking to the beach. Vimex rentals were also great about being there anytime we needed anything. Twice throughout the rental we lost hot water and withing an hour both times vimex had someone over to fix it. They were always timely and so nice about dealing with any issues or requests that we had.

The location of the home may be one of it's best features. Never having been to Mexico before, I did intesive amounts of research prior to our vacation and Casa Katarina was in the ideal location to suit every one of them. We spent almost every night walking up and down 5th ave and we were merely steps from the entrace of Playacar which is right at the beginning of 5th ave. Many nights we even walked pretty far into Playa and never felt that it was too much of a hike. The beach was a breeze to find from our spot and there are hundreds of restaurants within walking distance. However, being in the gated commuity does make you feel a little safer even though Playa as a whole felt like one of the safest towns I've ever visted.

Many days we even left Playa and went to other towns such as Akumal, Tulum, Cozumel, Punta Venado, and Cancun. We tried out ALL types of transportation and everything, i mean everything (the ADO bus, taxis, colectivos, the COZ ferry, and vans) were all less than a 5 minutes walk away. It truly could not have been a better located home.

If we ever visit Mexico again, which I hope we will, there is no doubt in my mind that Casa Katarina will be our home once more.

Loved style of home beautiful design.floor plan very nice. Enough bathrooms. Not to far frm beach & town. Walking if want too.

It was love at first sight! The house was immaculate. The pool was clean. The owner was friendly and very accomodating. He even offered a few sight seening suggestions. It was so easy to go to the beach (You are virtually steps from it). I would definitely recommend this home for any occasion; from a family vacation to a girls getaway!

We were very pleased to have stayed at Casa Katarina for our summer vacation. The house could not have been in a better location for closeness to the beach (which by the way is beautiful and not as crowded as north of the pier) and to all the shopping on the 5th avenue. We did have a couple issues with loss of power and water but the condo admin crew fixed them in a snap. This house truly was packed with ammenities found in your own home and more! Thanks again for making our vacation a memorable one!

This home is just beyond the security in the quiet neighborhood - but right off 5th avenue so close to all the shops and restaurants. It is a quick walk to the very secluded beach. It has everything in terms of location. As for the home it was beautiful and tastefully decorated, the pool was nice in the evenings. For my family of 4 it was luxury, could suit larger groups in the very spacious main floor where we hosted a wedding dinner for 20. Would rent again most definitely, I'd recommend this place for location and cleanliness.

My visit to Playa del rey was wonderful, The home was well equipped and spacious. The pictures are very accurate and the description is true to word. I love the area and would recommend this home to anyone wishing to visit the area. The convience to 5th ave was a plus. We stayed in this home April 12- 19 and the weather was remarkable.

This place is wonderful. It’s everything we were looking for…and more! The house is very clean, spacious and very well maintained. The pictures on here are true and accurate, but it’s much better in person! This property is located in the perfect spot – minutes from the beach, the ferry to Cozumel and 5th Ave. I highly recommend staying here.
