Can't say enough about this house and renting from Tony. Absolutely perfect weekend from star to finish. Ushered in by a fresh few inches of snow. View is gorgeous, home spotless and has everything you could ask for. We celebrated my husbands 45th birthday with friends. Went snowmobiling at Mount Snow which I would also recommend highly, a guided tour I believe called High Country right on the mountain. Hot tub was great, sledding with kids right in yard. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Can't wait to return. Tony was a fantastic host, so accomodating the whole process. A+ The Gormans Upton MA

We stayed for a long weekend in summer. This home on a hill above the Harriman Reservoir offers a great view with a large yard. The property description and pictures by the owner is completely accurate. The owner was kind enough to call during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub but also staying outside on the chairs and picnic table.

We spent a day on the lake, making use of the kayaks. There are a lot of hiking trails in the vicinity - maps and info were available at the town's tourist office and we tried some closer, easier ones.

We recommend this home to a family with kids or a small group of people who will make the most of the amenities both in the home and in the area. We'll make an effort to go back.

We always said we'd never go to the same place twice, because there are so many places to see in the world - but we've returned to this house THREE years in a row, because it's so wonderful. The view calms everyone as soon as they see it: It's just lake and sky - not another house to be seen. The home is very clean and large, and yet warm and cozy. The linens, cookware, and furniture are all high quality and abundant - and everything is clean as a whistle. We even love the decor - it's simple, sturdy, cozy, and warm - not fussy or tacky. We've come with our five teenagers and young adults, and they love playing pool or shuffleboard or fooseball or using the hot tub, scattering among the rooms and reading books, and watching movies together at night. Wilmington is charming and just 3 minutes away, as are lots of antique shops. The kayaks are also great. Tony is the most easy-going and helpful host - he always calls to make sure we made it and could find everything. With the boats, the bikes, the view, the cool and always-updated house, the porches, the fire pit, the privacy, it's a real rejuvenating vacation for our family.

Great house and wonderful location. My family stayed for a week in late Sep with Fall colors already in full bloom and great warm weather. We loved kayaking on the lake, cycling, walking and building campfires! My 3 yr old son loved the swing too! House had everything you could want...very clean and extremely well equipped. Hot tub and pool table were favourites.

Nearby Wilmington good spot for some food and beer Maple Leaf had a great selection of beers including tasters!

Whole family loved it

Four of us (2 adults, 2 kids aged 12 & 14) stayed here for a week early August. We were visting New York City & Boston and wanted a contrast to the cities. This house worked a treat.

The house itself is large and well equipped. The lake is a short stroll down the driveway, huge and pretty quiet. We spent a lot of time in the owner's kayaks. It was nice to get into the sauna and hot tub after a day on and by the lake. It was also great to just relax on the grass or play pool and then a BBQ in the warm evening.

Wilmington is a couple of miles away. It's a great, friendly little town with all of the facilities you might need, plenty of eating options and some good beers at Maple Leaf Malt & Brewing Co. The Local Chamber Tourist office was particularly helpful.

We loved the feel of southern Vermont, it's a beautiful area and we enjoyed looking around the villages and walking the trails. Didn't see any bears but we saw a couple of bald eagles soaring above the lake on several occasions.

The owner, Tony, could not have been more helpful. Easy to deal with and more than happy to help.

We loved staying here and it proved the highlight of a memorable trip.

This home is a must rent! The property is huge and the views are incredible. Very private, built near a cliff overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings. The deck with BBQ grill faces the cliff where you can take great photos for memories. Theres a small hill out front where you can have fun with sleds in the winter time that you can find in the shack outside. We spent about 10-15 minutes outside looking at the views before we even stepped into the house!. As far as the private ride up to the property, you definitely must have a 4WD vehicle in the winter season.

The house was very clean and smelled good too! Downstairs is a beautiful pool table, foosball table, hot tub, surround sound and heated floor! Everything is in excellent condition, we had tons of fun with the foosball table especially. On the 2nd floor are 3 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The living room is also great for your group to just relax, watch tv, or play board games - very comfortable couch!. Theres also a small room with a heat stove, futon, and lounge chair. The heat stove is awesome, once you get it going, it puts out alot of heat. There are 2 bathrooms, one on the first and one on the 2nd floor. Both bathrooms were very clean with nice designs!

Tony is the most respectful and organized owner I have ever dealt with. Just after our arrival he gave us a call to see if we had any questions about anything. He is very easy to get in contact with and willing to help with any issues you may have. Tony truly is a dedicated owner who takes care of the property and goes out of his way to make sure his guests have a great time. I would definitley deal with Tony in the future.

This is a beautiful house and a place to create great memories. My friends and I were looking for a last minute getaway from the New York skyscrapers and stumbled upon this rental. It exceeded our expectations with the the indoor hot tub, foozball tables, board games, kayaking and swimming in the lake, reading on the hammock, nighttime s'mores on the fire pit, running through the quaint town of Wilmington, watching the sunset over the breathtaking scenery, lounging on the sofa in front of a movie with the internet -- there was something for everyone! Moreover, Tony is wonderful. He is very easy to get ahold of and very friendly. This is a rental must!

We had rented this property for a fall (2008) weekend and it has been one of our best vacations till date. The house, the location and everything else is better than the description and we used it to the full! No doubt that we will be renting this house again and again.
