Thank you so very much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful condo. We had such a wonderful time...I can't even put it all into words. Your condo is so loved. The work you have done shows how much you care about it.

We love your kitchen. The unique cabinets, granite counter, new appliances etc. all contribute to an outstanding visit. Everything ran as it should and there were 2 hair dryers :) I only used one twice. I found that with the salt water, pool and sun it was easier to just let it go.

We enjoyed coffee and books on the patio in the morning and the evenings were so incredible. Watching the lights coming on in Cruz Bay and seeing the unreal color of the water less than 100 steps from the door...priceless. My son and I snorkeled twice for hours in bay. On our last snorkel he touched his first sea turtle and we swam with 3 squid. What fun!

We spent a day on Jost Van Dyke enjoying White Beach, the Soggy Dollar and Foxy's and an afternoon on St. John shopping. Our favorite thing to do had to be the scuba diving with the Red Hook Divers. We can't say enough about their business. They are so careful, helpful and knowledgeable. We actually made 6 dives! Our son saw his first sharks, identified some unusual fish and learned a lot about soft corals. It will be a birthday he will never forget. If anyone should ever ask for advise about diving you can feel confident giving a recommendation to the Red Hook Dive Shop.

The security team did a good job of keeping the grounds secure. We felt very safe on the property. Every day crews were working to update and care for the property. Everything worked and ran as it should.

Unfortunately it has been dry and the plants and bushes are not leafing out. This leaves the air conditioning units exposed by the parking lot. When things grow up they will be less noticeable.

Our favorite restaurants were Molly Malone's, Fungi and the Banana Cabana on the property makes a great burger. We did not have success at the Grapevine Restaurant on the property.

Steve and Sherri have a very neat and clean property. Their caretaker is outstanding. He even drove us to the airport when we left early in the morning.

Our stay at this property was perfect.
Owner's Response: The scuba family made the most of their vacation and we try to assist all of our guest with information to have a great time. We take as much pride in our condo and sharing it as we do our home!

I can't say enough about our vacation in the Virgin Islands and these accomodations. This condo is exactly what is advertised. Well maintained, clean, the location is outstanding. We actually rented two units on Sapphire, one upstairs for the adults and the kids stayed in this ground floor unit. I often wanted to switch with them due to the closeness to the beach and pool. The US VI is the best island chain for a Caribbean vacation and Red Hook is the best part of St. Thomas to stay. It is easy to get to restaurants, activities and supplies. Sapphire beach is an awesome place. The reef on the right side at the end of the pier is excellent for snorkeling. We spent several days of our trip going no where but staying on the beach and it was great. Don't pass up St. John as a day trip. Trunk Bay for snorkeling and Cruz Bay for lunch are a great combination. I would recommend renting a car. In the long run is cheaper than taking taxis.
The only thing I would say is that the Antilles resorts end is a little dissapointing. The surf shop is okay but they need to clean up the main area and get a small store and restaurant open. Some who like the big resort ammenities like the Ritz might be a little dissapointed. I never did figure out the beach chair situation, they wanted to charge me $7 for one but there were usually some out there for free, especially if you secured one before they collected them in the morning and locked them up. They left them out all night. I will say that I was impressed with their security. The burger shack between B and C building serves excellent food.
Overall the situation with Antilles was no big deal. While I was researching a place to stay I looked at Secret Harbor, Bolongo Bay and Blue Beards. We visited all of those places and Sapphire was the obvious best choice. The beach itself makes it hard to pass up. The fine condo was just a bonus. Thank You Steve and Sherri, we will most likely return someday.

Nice play to stay

My husband and I just got back from our stay at this condo. The views were spectacular! The description is accurate, the condo amenities were more than expected, and the inside was clean and very well-maintained. The owner was very helpful in answering my questions before we left and even provided us with some helpful hints. We didn't rent a car until our last day and were able to walk to Red Hook for food. Be forewarned: if you choose to do that, it's a bit harrowing at first. It was nice to be able to walk over to the marina to catch a day trip to BVI, especially since those trips leave so early in the morning. Sapphire Beach is beautiful and you can tell by walking around that the condo owners, including the owners of this particular unit, take much pride in their little slice of heaven. Unfortunately, it seems that the property management company has not been keeping up their end of things - but that doesn't do much to detract from the fact that this is a nice place to vacation.
Owner's Response: We have almost completely redone the interior of the condo ourselves as well as some of the other owners have done the same. There are challenges with maintaining the exterior of the buildings when you are work with a homeowner association in the Caribbean, but progess is being made. We take great pride in Sapphire beach and trying to assure our guest have a great time!

Beautiful location right on the beach

My husband and I stayed in this nicely re-done condo at the Sapphire Beach Resort. The location is beautiful and is very convenient to a great pool and the marina (next door) where we booked a charter to the British Virgin Islands. It is also a short taxi ride to Red Hook where you can get groceries, dine or take a short ferry ride to beautiful St. John. The condo was very clean and comfortable and provided all we needed and the beach at Sapphire is gorgeous and perfect for snokeling. The owners of the condo, Steve and Sheri, are very helpful with any questions you have and offer suggestions on where to visit and dine if you have not been to the islands before. There is also a condo manager that lives on St. Thomas that we hired through the condo owner to pick us up/take us back to the airport. He and his wife know all about the islands and were so helpful in any questions/needs we had. We really hated to leave this paradise and know why this is the owner's home away from home. Everyone we met around the condo and islands we very gracious and kind and we look forward to another visit.

The condo was what we expected when we arrived (we have rented here before) everything was clean and ready to start vacation. The new kitchen is great.... the new tile is beautiful and the kitchen had lots of new upgrades - new dishes, cooking pans, knifes and lots of storage containers. We also had some beach towels, sunscreen, a beach umbrella, chair and a travel cooler - all very nice extras.

PARADISE!

This was one of my best vacations ever. The condo was great. The new kitchen was equiped with everything you needed. The bathroom was large, including a double sink. There were five girls on this trip and no one felt cramped. However, my favorite part of the trip was the totally awsome view right out of the back door. I've never experienced anything so beautiful. The brilliant blue waters and view of the islands were mesmerizing. There were plenty of activities to do on sight. We kayaked, snorkled, and parasailed. We also enjoyed the short trips into Redhook and traveling to Charlotte for great food and shopping. We cannot wait to go back. We will return.

A one of a kind vacation I will NEVER forget!

I have been lucky enough to travel to various places with very different scenes. The women in my family took a girls trip a week ago to St. Thomas, which is not something that happens very often. The views alone at Sapphire Beach are beyond amazing. However, because of the great location of our condo, there was so much more. There is quite literally something for everyone. The girls and I laid in the sun, went swimming in the pool and ocean, snorkled, parasailed, kayaked, and went to the beach bar and grill. We would have jet skied but unfortunately we had to go home. The best part of these amazing features is that it is right outside of our condo. I loved staying in this condo, especially since it is fully functional. The bathroom has two sinkc, the bed and couch are so comfortable, and the kitchen already has everything so the only thing you need to buy is food. This condo also has appliances for indoor entertainment (while you takea fifteen minute break from all of the fun) such as a television, dvd player, and stereo. This is seriously the perfect spot for a fun and relaxing vacation. I would love and hope to come back to this same place in the future. If you don't stay here, you will be missing out on a great time. I recommend this location to everyone I know.
Owner's Response: We try to have all our guest enjoy there time to the fullest!

A Very Inspiring Location!

This condo is extremely clean, newly renovated and has everything you need to have a low stress vacation. We left this condo feeling like our money was well spent. We were extremely happy to find things like beach towels, a cooler for the beach, toaster, toaster oven, blender, a full-size refrigerator, coffee maker and pretty much anything you could need to cook a full meal and enjoy some blended rum drinks. More clothes hangers and drawer space than you'll ever find in a hotel. When they say that you can literally walk out the door and onto the beach, the description doesn't get any more accurate. The pool is literally 20 or so steps from the porch, as well. We never had to fight for lounge chairs or space on the beach. After walking the entire property, I think this condo is in the most peaceful part of the resort and has the best scenery. It's obvious that the resort has had some maintenance issues over the last few years, but it was also obvious that management is making improvements and none of the maintenance issues had a negative impact on our vacation. Grocery stores and restaurants are convenient and in the nearby town of Red Hook, about a mile from the complex. The marina at the resort offers a variety of activities at affordable prices. Anything from parasailing, jet ski rentals, fishing day trips, and day trips to other islands. If you want to be away from the cruise ship activity, enjoy a more quiet part of the island and have a more relaxing experience, this is definitely a great condo to rent. We rented a Jeep for the week and truly enjoyed exploring the island while having no worries about parking or security at the condo.

Beautiful Condo and Views!

Review Submitted: March 1, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
We just got back from this condo on ST. Thomas. We fell in love with the whole place. We've been to many different islands but nothing compares. We will surely be back. At some point maybe next year we would really like to bring back my in-laws.
Both my girls had a fabulous time and of course didn't want to leave. We got to snorkel with a barracuda!! Swam along with a Sea turtle on ST. John at Trunk bay and swam with a stingray at Hawksnest bay.

The owner provided a lot of information on where to go and places to eat. Molly Malone's was wonderful!!

It was that added valuable information we received that made us rent from this owner instead of other condo owners. Great Place!!
