The location w absolutely ideal to get to all the major attractions in Paris. We stayed for 4 nights with two small children in August. We were initially concerned about street noise as there are lively bars/cafes down below. However, to our pleasant surprise the apartment stays pretty cool even on hot days and if you close the windows the apartment is very soundproof.
The apartment building is old and you have to get up/down stairs with a stroller, but wasn't a big deal for us. Slightly smaller than expected, but cozy and clean. Was a nice spot and we will stay again.
Owner was pleasant to work with over email and the girls who checked us in and out were fantastic. One of them was kind enough to mail a necklace to our house that my 5 year old daughter had left behind.

pleasant apartment that is located very centrally

This is a pleasant apartment that is located very centrally to all the areas you would want to visit. In less than minutes you can access the metro or some of wonderful cafes and patisseries. Supermarkets, corner stores and several pharmacies are also close by. It is only 5 min walk from Notre Dame and 10 min walk to Lourve. Although the apartment is located on a busy street, the double glazed windows made it very quiet at night. We walked through the neighbourhood late at night and always felt safe.
The apartment is featured as having enough space for six adults, but there were only four of us and space was at a premium. The bedrooms were nice with very comfortable beds. The kitchen very, very compact but well equipped. The kitchen sink was tiny, about the size of a sink you find on an airplane, but the dishwasher worked well so we did not use the sink very often. We had plenty of dishes, silverware, pots, and pans. However, I broke a glass and was charged 5 Euro – which I thought was a bit much.
We found the washing machine complicated to use and could not figure out how to get the dryer to work. The bathroom was very small but the best you can expect in an apartment that size and location. The greeting service was very good and helpful. The free WiFi and international phone calls were a much appreciated bonus.
There are many places to eat and we found most places to be very friendly. The apartment is located on the third floor and is accessed via a narrow stairway. Be prepared to walk up winding stairs (no elevator), so if you bring big suitcases make sure someone in the party is capable of carrying them up quite a few stairs. The stairs are quite awkward to navigate with suitcases but fine the rest of the time, although they would be tough going for people who struggle with stairs.
In summary, a comfortable, secure location and a welcome place to return to after a long day of exploring and sightseeing in the city. Not luxurious, but practical, comfortable and enjoyable. We would stay there again in the future.
