Being from the Detroit area, I was just looking for a quiet little getaway with a friend. This cozy cottage was the perfect spot. Even though we didn't have great weather (late April in Michigan, no big surprise right?) we had a great time in this fully outfitted cottage. So many details are taken care of: cable/internet, laundry, dishwasher and fully outfitted kitchen and all linens. We didn't get to use the outdoor space or activities, but we've already decided we'd like to go back again. Location is nice, it's tucked away north of I-75, literally on the lake, but still close enough to make trips to Great Lakes Crossing and area restaraunts and shopping. All areas of the cottage were clean and in good condition. Host was professional and considerate, the whole experience was fantastic. Thank you!!

We were going to Detroit for a hockey trip. We were looking at hotels and came acrossed the cozy cottage....the price was great and the cottage was better than we could have dreamed . even with the lake mostly frozen, it was still great. This was our second year for our hockey trip and it was the best. I hope that we can stay again next year. and we are talking about commimg back in the fall so we can enjoy the lake while it's not frozen. thanks so much Swanson family for renting us your awsome cottage!!!!

The Cozy Cottage was an absolutely wonderful experience for both myself and my family. We spent two weeks at the cottage with 3 young children and could not have been happier. We had an easy, beautiful commute everyday to Pontiac for our son and it was well worth driving the extra 15 minutes vs staying in a hotel. The Swanson family was wonderful and took great care of us. The house is in great condition and the amenities were perfect. My wife and I are clean freaks and the house was spotless when we arrived. The board games, fishing poles and the John boat was great to come home to everyday and my 6 year old had a blast fishing for Largemouth Bass. If you are looking for a home away from home with zero stress this is your spot. Best of Luck and thanks again Swanson family.

The Cozy Cottage was very well maintained and clean. I was pleased to find a very well stocked kitchen. It is larger on the inside than it looks from the outside. Was fairly close to neighbors, but was quiet and the lake was peaceful and serene. We even had swans swimming to our lakeshore. The firepit was terrific and there was ample wood and lawn chairs. Beds were comfortable and the overall weekend was very relaxing. I had my mom, 3 daughters and a granddaughter (baby) and there was plenty of room for the 5 adults without feeling cramped. There was a grocery store a couple miles up the road which made getting food easy. There is also a nearby Subway and an Italian eatery which was very good. Overall it was a very enjoyable weekend and a great value for the money. (also the deposit was returned VERY quickly)

This was our second consecutive year at the cottage. It felt like coming home. We had a relaxing week. We did'nt need anything, and caretaker Joe (and neighbor) really went out of his way to make sure we had all that we might have needed. We thank the Swansons for the use of their cottage,(and yes it's cozy).

When my husband and I were looking for a budget-friendly fishing get-away, we researched many places. How absolutely THRILLED we were with our decision to stay at the "cozy" cottage. The Swanson's have really gone above-and-beyond to make this the COZIEST cottage ever!

Even though the cottage is located in a tiny town, it was easy to get to and close to local shopping. We were delighted with how clean and well-maintained the cottage is kept, which helped us to quickly unwind and forget about life for a few days. We especially appreciated the boat/motor that comes with the cottage, which provided many hours of fun-filled fishing on Bald Eagle Lake. Joe next door was very pleasant and provided great tips on all the hot fishing spots on the lake. We caught many northern pike, white crappie, perch, bass, catfish and blue gill! The fire pit was also a bonus and provided the perfect setting for night-time fishing and star gazing.

Since returning home, we've been telling all our friends about the "cozy" cottage, and we are looking forward to returning this winter with a small group for a possible ice fishing trip!

Our family came from New Jersey to attend a wedding at Pine Knob, and this cottage was a perfect place to stay! Really clean and fully equipped, with beautiful views and always a nice cool breeze. We had our Michigan family over for a barbecue, and no one wanted to leave! Thanks Don and Maureen for sharing your home with us!

This cozy cottage was worth every penny! We stayed for a few nights and really enjoyed the relaxation here. Don has everything ready when you arrive. The place was sparkling clean and felt very warm when we entered. They have a dishwasher, full kitchen, a living room with big cable TV, 2 spacious bedrooms with closets, 2 bathrooms, and a laundry room too. Outside is a great deck overlooking the lake with a grill, tables and chairs. There is even a bon-fire pit for roasting marshmallows!

The lake is beautiful and offers many exciting things like boating, fishing, swimming, and jet skis access. We did some fishing catching sun fish, bass, and bluegill. Our daughter loved to feed the ducks that came in daily to visit.

Thanks for the great time and memories! We will definitely be returning to the "cozy cottage"!
