We stayed the entire summer at the Massey's vacation home. It was perfect for our family. We enjoyed fishing in the lake out back and we were close to the marina and we could take our boat out too. The neighbors were very friendly and kind to my children. We loved eating the mango's from the tree in the front yard....they were delicious! Beautiful and clean house with plenty of room for the whole family. We will be recommending the Massey's home to all our friends looking for the perfect vacation!!! We rented this house in late October 2012 for a girls weekend before one of my dear friends has her first baby. Bottom line, we will be back post baby for another weekend stay!! The house is fabulous, impecably kept, and filled with all the amenities you could ever need! Although Pine Island is a bit slow, honestly, we were perfectly content staying at the house the whole time. Whether relaxing by the pool during the day, having happy hours in the afternoon, and even grilling at night, it was great. There is a grocery store a few miles away and I've heard there are some good restaurants in the area. The layout is a big open space and the bedrooms are all very nice. This is a great place to get away to if you're looking for a nice, relaxing time.

This is was our 2nd visit to this beautiful property on Pine Island.
Everything we required for the holiday was available at the home. Again we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation and would recommend this house to anyone.
There was great fishing to the inlet at the rear of the property and my husband caught a Tarpon over 20lbs in weight! We are really looking forward to our next stay.
Pine Island makes a refreshing change from the hussle and bussle and traffic queue's in Orlando.

We found this lovely two story home to be clean, spacious and well-appointed. We relaxed, enjoyed the pool and the view across the golf course waterway. Great spot for peace and quiet, some bike riding and an easy drive to the many Pine Island fishing spots. It is tucked back in a nice neighborhood but easily accessible to Bokeelia. We had a group of 6 and everyone slept soundly and comfortably. I especially loved the porch off the master where I read my book while lounging on the plush chaise and gazing at the lovely view out of the window. Would use this house as a hideaway from the hustle and bustle any day!

This was our first time booking through HomeAway. Consequently, we asked Iain many questions, but were quickly put at ease with the email exchanges. Everything was as he said, and then some!

About the property -- beautiful! If we owned a vacation home, we would have it the exact same way. From the excellent location and great curb appeal, to the well-maintained and loved interior and furnishings, no details were forgotten. The place was impeccably clean. Everything worked -- internet, tv, appliances -- we even used the oven to make dessert one night. The pool was great for taking a dip, and we took full advantage of the bbq and eating outdoors in the screened living space. All this, and I haven't even mentioned the neighborhood with the view of the lake from out in back of the property, the amazing wildlife (Anhinga and Osprey living among the community), the walk-able/bike-able quiet streets, the close proximity to the marina and Calusa Indian park/reserve and bike path, and friendly neighbors. We drove around Pine Island and saw several neighborhoods, but none were as nicely manicured as this one.

We would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a warm-climate retreat. We hope to be back soon!! Thank you Iain for your great service!

We stayed at this property in early April. We had an amazing time. The house was everything we had hoped and more. The listing was accurate. From the very first moment we contacted the owner, he was professional and very accommodating. He always replied quickly to emails and answered any questions we had.

We loved the house. It was beautiful, spacious, and quiet. There were many places to relax throughout the house. The pool was very nice and we ate our dinners in the screened-in lanai.

The other reviews say many of the things I would say. Pine Island is a special place. We love the peace and quiet. There is a lot of wildlife to enjoy. This property is a wonderful place to relax, unwind and to enjoy a beautiful piece of Florida. I am so grateful the owners are willing to open their home for others to enjoy. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends and I hope that we can return as well.

We wanted to go somewhere a little warmer than our home in Sunset Beach, N.C. and we hit the "jackpot"! This home had everything you could possibly need in a vacation home...privacy...awesome views...golf course within two blocks...lime tree right outside your door...beautiful places to walk...and best of all a very cozy home that undeniably the owner has put a lot of love and care into. There were many places in the house that one could go and sit and have your own private time...and...each of them with a fantastic view. Or you could sit at the dining room table, breakfast room or down stairs in the linai and play a game, work on a puzzle, use your computer...or just chill!

There is a lot to do on Pine Island and we did it all! We loved it so much that we wanted to stay longer but the house was unavailable so we found several others, but none compared to this one so we returned home and are looking forward to going back next year not just for two weeks but a month!

The owner was very responsive to all of our needs and was very easy to stay in touch with by email if we had any questions or concerns! This is truly their "Paradise" that they are graciously willing to share with others!

We love this part of Florida, this property is a little gem. Lots of space, lovely furniture very clean and well maintained.Everything you need. Fantastic outdoor space with screened lanai great for a barbeque.The owner is good to work with and very helpful. What we enjoyed most of all was the lake. Wildlife Paradise! We woke up one morning to see otters playing on the lawn in front of the pool. There's always lots of different birds and butterflies even the odd turtle. We fished the lake a few times my husband landed his first tarpon. We 100% recommend this house and would definately stay again on our next visit to Pine Island
