Great get away cabin

Miss Wendy Jericho, vermont. USA
Review Submitted: November 3, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wishes a cozy little getaway. The cabin is in excellent condition and it is well supplied with every amenity one could need. We were first struck by the wonderful views from the deck and living room window. The weekend we were there my husband and I took a nice walk in the woods behind the house which connects to the VAST trail and we rode our bikes on the lovely dirt rode off the driveway. While on our bike ride we were greeted by a very friendly and curious horse who just beckoned us to stop and greet him by his fenced in pasture. If you like to shop for outdoor wear The Farm Way Store in Bradford is a must see. It is very big. We hope to return to the cabin during the Winter or Summer season next.

Cozy Cabin in the mountains

Review Submitted: October 2, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2008
Wow, this is a clean very well kept cabin with a beautiful view of the mountains. We are close to stores (Bradford, 20 minutes) but can easily feel like we are the only ones around for miles. All you see from the cabin are mountains, trees and wildlife! It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy what Vermont and the White Mountains has to offer...all in less than an hours drive. We had beautiful fall colors to enjoy at the end of September. The kitchen is well equipped and ideal for a couple. Sleeping in the loft is for the stout heart only as you have to climb down a steep ladder so it is an ideal cabin for two, and if more, then you need to consider who will sleep in the loft. Also note there area a lot of stairs to climb to get to the cabin, so not recommended if you have problems dealing with stairs. We brought our older son with us (total of 3) and last time, we brought both of our older sons with us and it worked out fine for a few days. We plan to rent again.

Wonderful, peaceful getaway

We really enjoyed staying at this cute cabin. It was a perfect location for us to be close (but not too close!) to family. Our two big dogs absolutely loved the location and the freedom to roam. The cabin had everything we needed and we especially enjoyed the covered deck/porch; it was great to sit outside and watch storms from the protected area. We'll definitely try to stay here again on future trips to Vermont! We recommend this property for people who want to bring their four-legged family members along on their Vermont vacation.

Peaceful and Romantic Getaway

This little cabin was PERFECT! Not only was the description accurate it surpassed the description. The cabin was well=maintained, very clean all the amenities you could think of as well. Kathy (the owner) was very helpful and provided all the info you needed to make your stay a good one. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family though I hesitate to because I would like to keep it my own little secret. If you like the peaceful solitude of the woods and nature this spot is for you.. The area has plenty to do and local restaurants offered great food and service.

Cozy, relaxing, family vacation

NJPatrick Edgewater Park, NJ
Review Submitted: April 25, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We loved it!! Had to start with that. The cabin was exactly as described, but so much better than we could have asked for. Incredibly clean and neat. There is no doubt that the cabin is "cozy" but for our three kids and our 150lb St Bernard, it was just perfect. Our 13 year old slept in the loft (the futon was already opened with sheets and pillows - thank you!!) - the ladder was a little scary for our little ones, so after a couple trips up to check out the loft, we did make that off limits. The little ones slept with mom in the very comfortable queen bed - Dad slept on the reclining sofa with the extra blankets provided.

The views from the deck and from the front window are truely indescribable. Wow!! The property was wonderful for the kids and the dog - PLENTY of room to run around and lots of places to explore and hike.

The cabin's location was perfect for us also - far enough away to be secluded and private, but close enough to 91 to make a trip to Quechee or Woodstock a nice 30 minute ride. We also made a trip into Hanover and Norwich for the Science Museum -- another easy ride, this time along route 5 .Bradford is also a great little town ( 10 minutes away) - great pizza, friendly supermarket, and Farm Way is an experience all by itself. And when our 7 year old fell in a mud puddle, we drove into West Lebenon, NH (again about 25-30 minutes from the cabin) to the Walmart for a new pair of jeans.

My wife and I bring the kids up to Vermont several times a year, usually renting private homes (nice to have a kitchen). This may have been the smallest we've tried, but it truely was one of our favorites. It had everything we needed - we couldn't have asked for anything more (except a less windy night - i was dieing to have a fire in the fire pit, but was a little nervous with the wind - we lit a small fire with twigs and sticks we gathered from the incredible forest behind the house - roasted a few marshmallows and tried to count the stars)

I was reluctant to write such a great review because, I would love for this place to be our little secret - but I wanted to thank the Chapman's and to let them know what a wonderful time we had. Thank you very much! We will be back!

WONDERFUL WEEKEND GETAWAY

JessD Montreal, QC
Review Submitted: February 27, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
This cabin was fantastic! It is a beautiful and quiet spot and the cabin is adorable and very well maintained. It was super clean and everything we could have possibly needed was provided. The owners were very helpful and provided us with a lot of information on the area, as well as answering any questions we had. We had a very nice time relaxing and even did a few of the local hiking trails. Thanks for the great stay!

A perfect weekend

sepia5 New Haven, CT
Review Submitted: November 9, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This was the perfect weekend get-away spot for my girlfriend, my dog, and me. The cabin itself exceeded our expectations, and the location is remote and beautiful. We spent half a day hiking the trails adjacent to the property, and our black lab had the time of her life. There's a nice little fire pit that kept us warm into the late evening. You could very easily sleep four people in the cabin--I know it is listed at 500 sq. feet, but it seemed bigger and is in pristine shape. If you would like to have a nice dinner out--and I suggest you do so--in nearby Bradford you'll find GREAT Italian at the Colatina Exit. We really fee like we found a hidden gem with this owner and this area, and we'll be back soon. We're almost reluctant to write this review because we're afraid everyone else will discover our find . . . .

First but not last stay

Review Submitted: October 9, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This cabin is well kept. It is very homey and comfortable. The views and solitude of this cabin is the best I have found in VT. The owners are very friendly and are obviously very concerned with your satisfaction. We will be back in Nov. and hopefully for a full week next October. Maybe a weekend in May 2009 too! The housekeeping is great.
