Cozy Comfort near Asheville

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin for Halloween weekend. It is convenient to downtown Asheville and tucked in the mountains The weather was rainy, giving us a great excuse to spend some time in the hot tub, relaxing near the fireplace and cooking on the grill. Even though it was only the two of us, two couples can fit comfortably. We look forward to our next trip to Asheville.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend in March and we enjoyed the cabin immensely! The cabin is quaint (the hot tub on cool evenings was very relaxing, with great mountain views) and in an excellent location, close to downtown, but far enough away to feel secluded. We will definitely stay here again.

Best place for the money

This is a nice, clean and charming cabin with a great view. It's easy to get downtown and the hot tub is wonderful! We would strongly recommend it to friends. The two beds are very comfortable, high-end linens.
The only negatives are that there is only one bathroom and it's on the main floor (not great at 3am) and there is very little clothing storage except in the master bedroom. If you plan to bake in the oven, you'll need pans. Other than that, the kitchen is very well stocked. The grill works great and all the accessories are provided. Overall we were very happy!

Great cabin

We were very pleased with the cabin and, especially, the hot tub. Location was a bit hard to find and a bit farther from downtown than we expected - but all-in-all it was a very comfortable and private place to stay. The deck was very nice and allowed for some great morning bird watching. Hot tub was fantastic after long hikes. Kitchen was more than adequately stocked. Great launching point for Blue Ridge Parkway drives or Smoky Mountain National Park hikes.

Mountain Bike Retreat

Location is West Asheville and 10min from Downtown. Close enough to all amendities. Clean facility. A few items more for the kitchen would help (ie pots, pans, strainer, wisk, dish towel, dish mop). Nice bedrooms and clean sheets. Hot tub was awesome, especially for sore legs. Garden hose needs repair. Bike stand and cloths line would be great for adventure people like us. Get directions to the cottage before you leave home.
Mtn biking is tough and rewarding. Try Bent Creek and Tsali, speak to Liberty Cycle. Buy Handbook, not map. Map is pushed, but is useless.
Asheville is an amazing city, with outdoor concerts including micro-brew beer tents and food vendors. Friday night had a downtown drum collection of people playing.
Pizza at Asheville Brew and Pizza - too good for words.
Visit Biltmore and plan for a full day. The cost is $53, but worth the money.
Overall, we were very pleased with our rental, biking and the city. Legs are still sore.

Great cabin

My husband, some friends and I spent last Thanksgiving at the Spivey Mountin Cabin and we absolutely loved it. The cabin was convenient to Asheville and grocery stores but tucked away so we still felt like we were in the mountains. The cabin was really nice, great hot tub and deck, gas fireplace, comfortable leather couches yet still rustic. The kitchen was more than adequate for preparing Thanksgiving dinner and very clean. Will definitely return!
