Beautiful, perfect stay for our group on North Cap

We stayed for one week at the Island Queen, March 2010. This is our fifth stay on North Captiva, a Mom and five daughters (all over 45 years old) from Minnesota. This vacation home is beautifully decorated, full of artwork and collections of tableware, linens, and fun accessories. I've never stayed in a better equipped kitchen. North Captiva Island can be a difficult place to maintain appliances and we had a few problems as warranty work on one of the two dishwashers couldn't be performed immediately and the water filter on the refrigerator was back-ordered. (The other dishwasher worked fine and we made ice.) Our stay was during record cold weather which unfortunately curtailed our pool use, but we did have a few wonderful pool days. The living areas are spacious and comfortable, and the bedrooms well-appointed with a lot of clothing storage and wonderful bedding. We enjoyed the porches and outdoor living spaces. This is a very luxurious vacation home; the owner pays a lot of attention to details and it is spotlessly clean and fresh. The location on the island is wonderful; the views from the windows and upper levels show off the sunsets, sunrises and the whole island. It's in a very private location yet very close to the beach. We enjoyed the bright interior colors, "beachy" yet upscale decor. We've appreciated working with Sarah Rapp as she matches our group with the best rental property for the money. She has also helped us resolve maintenance issues. This has been one of the most enjoyable vacation homes I've stayed in. Thank you for making it happen.
