The 'Great Aspen Chateaux' is a large 6 bedroom custom built home with amazing views of the black mountains and lake Burnett. The Chateaux has four large decks with rocking chairs and is located in a private gated community which gives it a feeling of being 'away from it all'. Exposed beam construction, large picture windows, spacious rooms, and a large floor to ceiling stone fireplace make this the perfect vacation spot. The Chateaux is only 6 miles north of downtown Black Mountain and 14 miles east of downtown Asheville. **** please email owner ****

What makes this chalet unique
My mother, husband and I purchased this beautiful home as a family get away. Our large extended family enjoys escaping from fast paced lives at The Great Aspen Chateaux I am pictured here with our our twin sons who came into the world in late 2012.
Kelley Hagerty purchased this chalet in 2006
We purchased this property as it is near our other family home. (vrbo 81207) We needed more room for large family gatherings.
The greatest asset of this house is the view. It is enjoyable to be sit with family or friends on the decks relaxing with peaceful nature!

Excellent for the Price
We were not disappointed at all. Views were awesome. Hiking is nearby. The Christmas Tree was a nice touch for our company Holiday Party. Lots of space and entertaining things.

Great stay!
We had a great time staying at this house. Absolutely beautiful views! Nice clean house with tons of room. It was a great location; not far from Biltmore, not far from Asheville. We will keep this house in mind for our next trip to the area!

families annual christmas celebration
We just stayed at this beautiful chalet and had a wonderful time. There were 9 of us and we had more than enough room. The house looked exactly like the pictures and we were so impressed with how short a drive it was to Asheville. The house was very clean and Kelley was great to work with. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing for a quiet get a way with an easy drive to civilization. The views from the multiple decks are wonderful as well.

We Loved it!!!
We just returned from our trip to Black Mountain with our family....Excellent location and great value. The views from the balconies were fantastic. We had 13 people staying (along with 3 dogs) and there was plenty of room for all of us!!
We would certainly recommend this house for anyone visiting the area. We did the ziplining on Saturday and had a great time!!! Kelley was always quick to answer any questions we had...Can't wait to return!

Felt right at home in a wonderful vacation area!
We had an annual family trip in this home in June 2011. The house is just perfect and has a lot of space. From the kitchen and bedrooms to the dining seating to the extra living area downstairs, it is all perfect. The home had everything we needed to feel right at home. The decks allow seating for the family to enjoy a beautiful view. The area is quiet but still close enough to enjoy the area fun. We zip lined, hiked to lookout point, saw the Biltmore Estate (amazing!) and shopped in Black Mountain which all created a perfect week for our group. All of these activities are highly recommended. We will definitely be returning and Kelley was so helpful in planning the trip. Thanks so much Kelley for making this one of our favorite trips!! You have a beautiful home!

the evening to a very clean, nicely decorated home
that was most welcoming. The home was large
enough for kids to play on the bottom level in the
pool room and intimate enough to have full sit
down dinners to remember.

We went as a family from Jan. 1-4, it was an AMAZING HOME, perfect for us. My two daughters brought their boyfriends, my husband and I and our two well behaved dogs. The house and view was amazing, we loved staying there, we enjoyed the hot tub, playing Air hockey, watching tv...I strongly recommend this cozy house. It was very clean, lots of pots and pans, well kept, fantastic fireplace, and very big. We loved it, so if you plan to go there, enjoy your stay and take good care of the house so we can still go back and find it in excellent condition.

Hi Kelley, I just got home from your amazingly gorgeous home with one of the most spectacular settings we saw on our entire trip. The weather was extremely cold, especially for us from Miami, but I can't imagine a better place to be when it is too cold to be outside. Your home is extremely spacious and the architect did an amazing job to be sure to capture the breathtaking views from every room. I never got tired of looking at it. We ate every dinner in and didn't mind one bit. The kitchen was great. I didn't mind washing dishes at the sink with that view right in front of me.
The fall was beautiful and I took QUITE a few pictures, if you would like me to send you some. The home and the view were so fantastic I couldn't stop taking pictures.
Thanks again for your most special, comfortable and well stocked home. We can't wait to come back!! Sharon
