Our family stayed at the cabin for the week of Thanksgiving. It was a great place for my sister and I to stay with our families. We were a total of 8 people! Everything was great..the beds, the service from Cathy's sister, the well stocked kitchen which everyone claims they have but dont and the beds were sooo comfortable! I rarely ever feel at home when I travel and I could have moved right in! You know you are at home when you really dont want to go home. Some days we went horseback riding, shopped at nearby towns, hiked and our kids really enjoyed roasting marshmellows in the firepit and the hottub! It was clean, tons of towels, very well organized and just such a pleasure to stay at. My family is looking at dates over the summer to head back....

Beautiful home and location. The house was very spatious, comfortable and exceptionally well equiped and maintained. The owners are very gracious and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, answer any questions, and have everything you need. (Although everything you could possibly need or want was included and already there.)
Equally perfect for those who would like to go, do and see on their vacation as well as those who like to stay put and enjoy peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Some in our party enjoyed whitewater rafting, horseback riding, tubing, hiking, waterfalls, zip lining, swimming, exploring several unique towns and other locations all within 60 miles of the house and in three states! Others enjoyed staying in - watching birds, good books, walks, and peaceful relaxation.
We stayed two weeks. Would like to have stayed longer and will come back again.

All seven of us were very happy with the accommodations. The cabin is very well supplied, from linens to condiments and it was nice and clean when we arrived. The cabin is everything the web sites shows and more. We would give it more stars if it were a chose.

We absolutely loved this cabin!..We stayed for one week with the kids & grandkids and already looking to book again VERY soon! Had everything we needed for a great vacation. The hot tub was to die for and the lay out of the cabin was fabulous. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could ever need. Loved the high threat count sheets. Had tons of great movies and board games. Plenty of parking for 4-5 cars, the driveway has a slight hill but not a problem at all.The owners sisters (Margey & Dorthy) live right up the road and were very helpful with anything we needed or questions we had. Kathy (owner) was a great pleasure to work with as well. Our family has vacationed in Bear Paw for 26 years and we have finally found the perfect cabin!

Great family get away!

This cabin is amazing with an unbelievable view! The pictures do not do it justice. Hiwassee Dam is just a few minutes away and one of the most beautiful and serene places I have ever experienced. The cabin provided everything we could possibly need besides food. The hot tub and fire pit were definitely our favorite immenities but the entire cabin is cozy and just what we were looking for! We will definitely be returning!

A Piece of Heaven

The cabin is all anyone could possibly ask for. It was extremly clean and in exceptional condition. The description in the listing is very accurate and it is evident the owner has made every effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. While there the owners sister(s), who live nearby, contacted us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and to see if we needed any help with anything. I've been coming to this area (from New Jersey) for eleven years and this is the most perfectly equipped cabin I have had the good fortune to stay at. We prefer to cook in and this cabin is very well stocked with all the little things that many places lack. All we needed was the food and we were good to go. I look forward to returning again next year..........Clark, N.J.

My family and I loved this place. The house is perfect. Roomy, clean, comfortable, and is not lacking for anything. The owner has thought of everything. The pictures dont do it justice. The views are incredible. We had a great time here, visiting the Dam, going to Gatlinburg and the kids loved mining. We enjoyed the hot tub everynight because it was cold. If you are looking for the perfect get away from it all kind of house, then this is the place. I dont think we have ever stayed at a place that was so nice and comfortable than the Bear Paw House. We will be back and will tell all our friends about it.

What a Wonderful Experience!!

We stayed at this wonderful cabin for our 2010 Thanksgiving vacation - what a wonderful experience! I can not put into words how great our stay was: everything we could possibly need was at the cabin and if it wasn't there, someone made sure we had it as soon as possible. The cabin was well furnished, clean and comfortable. There was plenty of stuff for us to do and for our children to do in the cabin alone, not even considering things to do in surrounding community. The view was beautiful and we were only minutes from the Hiwassee Dam which was a site in itself! I was amazed at how much care and consideration Cathy has put into her cabin - she stocked it with everything we could possibly need for our stay and it was very well maintained. We will definitely be making this one of our annual vacation spots and recommend it to anyone who is considering staying here: you will not be disappointed!

I just returned from our trip that I went on with three other couples. Wow!!! This place is fantastic! The pictures don't do it justice. This is an absoulutely wonderful home with every amenity. The home is VERY clean, neat, and VERY nicely decorated. They left nothing out. Even all your condiments, oil, spices, etc. are there. We were there to ride motorcycles and the riding was absolutely fantastic! The house is about 30 minutes from the town of Murphy and about an hour from the Tail of the Dragon (RT129) with beautiful riding in all directions. The ONLY drawback if I had to name anything is it does have a steep gravel driveway, but we all managed it fine on the bikes. The place is so nice I would highly recommend it as long as you dont mind being a little outside of town. There is a nearby convenient store and gas station too. The town of Murphy is very cute and quaint with cute shops and good restaurants. We enjoyed Chevelles! Good food! If your up for a drive check out the view on your way to the town of Highlands and plan to make a day of it. You dont want to miss this town or the drive!
