Situated in the heart of the historic San Francisco Street district, Casa Colores is within walking distance of the downtown plaza, Lensic Theater, Georgia O'Keefe museum, Santa Fe Convention Center, endless fine dining, and wonderful shopping. This very special casa is a fully-restored 125 year-old territorial style gem, featuring old world charm and contemporary amenities. The renovated building was featured in the 1999 Metropolitan Home winner's edition for its inviting elegance and Southwestern charm.
Lovingly refurbished in 2004, our 2 bedroom attached casa has the warm coziness of double-adobe plastered walls, eleven foot viga ceilings, kiva fireplace, brick and original wood floors, and a beautiful private garden area with porch swing and dining area. To these traditional touches we include the following to ensure your comfort: washer/dryer, TV/DVD/VCR, microwave, full kitchen with a dining table that seats 6, king bed, 2 twin beds, plush robes, and beautiful furnishing.

We loved staying at your place from December 20-24,2008!!
I can't imagine a better greeting than the soft music playing, the lights on, and all waiting for us at the casita when we arrived late late late on 12/20. What a great continuation of a "relationship" that promised to be spectacular from the first time I connected with you via email and website.
I am so sorry that we didn't invite you in to lounge with us that morning you called and wanted to meet us but we were in our PJs and declined--in hindsight, we should have leapt at the opportunity to meet you and thank you in person. But unfortunately hindsight is clearer than "in the moment" sight, and we didn't. I am so sorry now that we didn't take advantage of your on-site and in-person hospitality and thus missed the chance to meet you.
We loved loved loved your place! It was beautifully decorated, every piece of the furniture was comfortable, it was exquisitely equipped, and there were signs of special touches and thoughtfulness absolutely everywhere! I loved greeting the person who shovelled our driveway and sidewalk, since it was such an over-the-top and pleasant service. By the time the shovelling was needed, I should have known that such thoughtful service was simply "standard fare" in your book--such touches were clear throughout our stay. But they were still astounding and very much appreciated.
Happy 2009 to you and (belated but not insincere by any stretch of the imagination) THANKS!!!!

Exceptional, DARLING Casita !

I love, love, love this place ! I have stayed here several times and everytime I come, it truly feels like I am coming home ! Feels like a "sanctuary" within the City of Santa Fe. The owners are so considerate and caring. From time to time I have arrived in the evening when it is dark and the lights are always on - in and out - and I feel comfortable, welcome and secure. ! Thank YOU for taking such good care of me. I enjoy walking to downtown and to the St. Francis Cathedral from this location, it is very convenient for walking and also to reach other locations by car, or public transportation (bus). The home is IMMACULATE and well equiped. I especially appreciate the washer & dryer, always comes in handy ! The beds are incredibly comfortable.
When I stay here, it feels like I am coming to my "second home" .. and I can just come and enjoy ! Linda is so incredibly detail and customer oriented.
I have lived in Santa Fe and have visited many times and I feel this is the best place to stay. If you are looking for a place that truly feels like your "home away from home, " this is the spot ! :)

long weekend with kids (6 and 2)

We stayed for a long weekend in the fall with our two small children and had a wonderful time! This was the nicest vacation rental we have had, our fourth experience with VRBO. The house was immaculately kept, clean, well organized, beautifully decorated, and the owner kindly stocks the fridge with snacks and basics to eat, a very nice touch. would highly recommend, and we would come back on our next visit to Santa Fe.

This was the nicest vacation rental we have stayed in. It had everything, but for us what was most appreciated was the eco friendly products throughout the house, especially the kitchen. No cheap Teflon pans here, it was a lovely space to cook simple meals. And a short walk to la cloufutis bakery just a block or so away. We will be back for sure!

My Wife and I have stayed at Casa Colores twice now, and would have been 3 times but was unavailable. Linda does a great job of stocking the kitchen with the basic staples for cooking in as well as providing some items in the refrig. The space is bright, clean well maintained and really has most amenities one could want for extended stays. definitely within walking distance to the downtown area shops and restaurants. One of our favorite restaurants has been the Santa Cafe. As long as I didn't want to stay there, I'd recommend to friends and relatives!

My husband and I recently spent a week in Santa Fe and had the opportunity to stay at Casa Colores. It is a lovely home and exceded our expections. Linda had furnished the kitchen with wine, coffee, fruit, etc. which added a special touch to our experience. It is conveniently located and within walking distance to museums, shopping, restaurants and more. We were pleased with the cleanliness and the darling decor - a very cozy atmosphere. I would highly recomment staying at Casa Coloras!

Five Wonderful Days Authentically Santa Fe

The first thing that strikes you about Casa de Colores as you open the door are the warm Southwestern colors. Each room has a different theme. The environment is warm, eclectic, light, bright and, well, homey. This quaint townhome ois situated an easy walk from the plaza and conveniently close to shopping old and new. It's a great location, and quiet. The house is historical and truly Old Santa Fe with wonderful wooden floors, a delightful private back yard perfect for that evening glass of wine and comfortable beds, fireplace, breakfast bar, We'll be back!

Wonderful experience

This is the second year we have stayed at Casa Colores. We are 4 nurses that are going to make this stay a tradition. We love the peacefulnes of the courtyard and the upscale amenities of the interior. Linda is a gracious host and always has our favorite wine waiting for us. We will be back every year. We love Santa Fe, the opera, and the fabulous food. Having a wonderful place to stay is frosting on the cake.

Awesome Home Away from Home!

We were fortunate to find this historic adobe property for our Memorial Day vacation. It was awesome. The accommodations were fantastic; nearness to the Plaza, farmer's market and other interesting sites was comfortable and very walkable. We especially enjoyed eating our meals in the enclosed patio with flowers galore. We would highly recommend this property for anyone, any time. Although there were only two us, it would have been equally comfortable had there been four. The kitchen was well furnished and we enjoyed the wine left by the owners as a welcoming gift. Go! Stay! Enjoy!!
