KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM: (FOR FIRST ENTRY & AVAILABLE FOR SUBSEQUENT ENTRIES)
The Owners issue IN WRITING to each Guest party a 6-DIGIT NUMERIC ACCESS CODE to enter on the door-mounted ELECTRONIC KEYPAD to unlock the front door FROM THE OUTSIDE. Each time the 6-DIGIT NUMERIC ACCESS CODE is entered, the front door lock unlocks for 15 SECONDS and then automatically relocks itself. The 6-digit numeric access code is VALID throughout the ENTIRE DURATION of the Guest party's Stay and can be entered on the electronic keypad to unlock the front door lock from the outside an UNLIMITED number of times.
STANDARD KEYED ENTRY SYSTEM: (AVAILABLE FOR SECOND & SUBSEQUENT ENTRIES)
Once inside the Unit, the Guest party finds PHYSICAL keys to the Unit and to the Pool Area. The front door lock can be unlocked from the outside by a PHYSICAL KEY TO THE UNIT in the ordinary familiar way. In other words, after the FIRST ENTRY, each SUBSEQUENT unlocking of the front door lock from the outside by the Guest party MAY (at the Guest party's elective) be accomplished EITHER by its use of: (1) PHYSICAL KEY, OR (2) 6-DIGIT NUMERIC ACCESS CODE.
This Unit (Hale Ono Loa 415) is on the top floor of the South Wing and centrally located in the overall large-scale architectural scheme, and with this location (Location, LOCATION!) come many desirable characteristics for vacationers (some of which are discussed herein) that naturally timelessly persist in perpetuity enduring totally uninfluenced by anything anybody has done, does, or can do. Beyond this intrinsic relative quality of the space and in COMMENSURATION therewith, the Owners further enhanced and perfected their Unit by completely refurbishing all aspects of the interior, thereby providing every improvement, modernization, luxury, facility, appliance, and capability their hearts desired. Thus, this Unit NOT ONLY has inherent rare quality based upon its location, BUT ALSO has: (a) a SUMPTUOUS DELUXE REAL INTERIOR with exquisite design, construction, and craftsmanship, and (b) a rich comprehensive set of high quality appointments, furnishings, and amenities.

Refrigerator cools its contents to just the right temperature (slightly above water's freezing point) and then maintains that perfect temperature; Freezer cools its contents to a very cold freezing temperature (significantly below water's freezing point); and Automatic Icemaker produces a never-ending supply of fresh, easily-accessible, very cold ice.

It has come to our attention that some persons (hereinafter the 'Refrigerator Defamers' or simply the 'RD') have published (either orally or in writing) to other third persons their factually untrue (false) TESTIMONY that our refrigerator was at some time in the past 'broken'. Any of the Refrigerator Defamers whose factually false testimony is based upon their own personal examination of the REAL evidence (in this case the actual refrigerator itself) are hereinafter referred to as the 'RD Accusers'. Those Refrigerator Defamers whose factually false testimony is NOT based upon their own personal examination of the refrigerator itself are hereinafter referred to as the 'RD Hearsayers', because their factually false testimony is either hearsay itself, materially derived from hearsay, and/or hearsay on hearsay (double hearsay or triple hearsay, for example, such as 'heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another').
Another group of persons (hereinafter the 'Refrigerator Confirmers' or simply the 'RC') numbering perhaps more than several hundred times that of the number of RD Accusers, have successfully operated and/or personally examined the refrigerator and found it to be in perfect working order during all times of their observation.
Since all of the Refrigerator Defamers (both RD Accusers and RD Hearsayers) have published defamatory LANGUAGE, in our humble opinion we think that they SHOULD have been reasonably certain as to the truth of their defamatory statements; thus, they should have believed that there was a very high probability that their defamatory statements were true when they made them (in part because their credibility is ultimately at stake, but also for other reasons). Since the above-identified defamatory statements turned out to be FALSE, based upon OUR DATA about the Refrigerator Defamers' track records it is MUCH MORE LIKELY (a) that all of the Refrigerator Defamers defamatory statements concerning ANYONE OR ANYTHING are not credible in general (very LOW probability that any given one of their defamatory statements is true) than (b) that this instance was randomly the only time (or one of very few times) that they were wrong BUT that they have been consistently right in their defamations a very large number of other times.
Thus, unless you (the traveler) are interested in and can find credible verification as to the truth of a very large number of other defamatory statements (without finding very many other later-determined-to-be-false statements) coming from the Refrigerator Defamers, we recommend that travelers should:
(1) regarding the RD Accusers, disregard entirely as UNRELIABLE and/or untrustworthy ANY direct defamatory opinion (about anyone or anything) of any of the RD Accusers (such as any defamatory finding purported to be his or her own 'expert' or 'lay person' finding based upon his or her own examination of any REAL evidence); and
(2) regarding the RD Hearsayers, disregard entirely as UNTRUSTWORTHY and/or unreliable any defamatory statement (about anyone or anything) that any RD Hearsayer claims to be a true statement of another relayed by the RD Hearsayer (such as any defamatory statement he or she says he or she heard (or read) spoken (or written) by somebody else).
While it is logically possible for a RD Hearsayer to become a member of the RC (Refrigerator Confirmers), our advice #2 above persists for that particular RD Hearsayer that we do not recommend to travelers their ever granting of any merit to any defamatory statement coming from that particular RD Hearsayer that is NOT that RD Hearsayer's own 'expert' or 'lay person' finding based upon his or her direct examination of REAL evidence. Similarly, while it is logically possible for an RD Accuser to relay truthful statements from the RC (Refrigerator Confirmers) about the ongoing excellent performance and condition of the refrigerator (and perhaps to later adopt those statements in their own new, corrected opinion based upon the accurate truthful hearsay from the RC and yet contradicting their previous erroneous opinion based upon their own direct examination of the REAL evidence), our advice #1 above persists for that particular RD Accuser that we do not recommend to travelers their ever granting of any merit to any defamatory statement coming from that RD Accuser that purports to be his or her own 'expert' or 'lay person' finding.

The Owners: (1) PROMPTLY review voice messages (if any) from GUESTS recorded DURING THEIR SCHEDULED PERIOD OF TENANCY; (2) review IN DUE COURSE voice messages (if any) from GUESTS left after they have MADE AN INITIAL DEPOSIT and/or paid in full for their UPCOMING scheduled Stay; and (3) MAY (OR MAY NOT) review voice messages left on the GUEST SERVICES HOTLINE that do not fall into categories (1) or (2) above (but may nonetheless use pertinent CALLER ID or recorded information for identity verification or other purposes.)
SUPERIORITY OF THE ACCESS MODEL:
The KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM and KEYED ENTRY SYSTEM are entirely parallel systems, provide identical functionality, and thereby serve as BACKUPS to one another for the Guest parties. The cross redundancy of the KEYLESS SYSTEM and KEYED SYSTEM and some of the unique characteristics of the KEYLESS SYSTEM together provide a number of advantages to the Guest parties over an ordinary lock system (having only a physical key facility). Among those advantages are that: since the Guest party's KNOWLEDGE of the 6-digit numeric access code CANNOT be locked inside the Unit while the Guest Party is outside the Unit, a responsible Guest party that remembers their 6-digit numeric access code IS NOT ABLE TO 'lock themselves out' (such that they require assistance from anyone to regain access to the Unit) under ANY circumstances EVEN IF THEY LOCK THE PHYSICAL KEYS INSIDE.
Moreover, in addition to being redundant to one another, each of the KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM and the KEYED ENTRY SYSTEM is backed up by multiple levels of simple fail-safe procedures, contacts, and facilities in the obvious and traditional ways.
The Owners have relied on the above-described systems in each and every one of their HUNDREDS of rentals to Guest parties since 2006, and have NEVER NEEDED to resort to ANY of the multiple levels of fail-safe procedures, contacts, or facilities for EITHER SYSTEM; NO GUEST who rented from the Owners HAS EVER BEEN LOCKED OUT for any reason for even the slightest instant of time; and NO ACCESS CODE that the Owners have EVER issued to ANYONE has EVER failed to perform as promised WHEN USED AS AUTHORIZED during the periods of time that such authorization was granted by the Owners.
