We had a wonderful time in Bailey Island -

We had everything we needed for a weeks stay - great kitchen set-up, excellent view - all the accomodations were perfect. Walking distance to a great breakfast place - Giant Stairs Seafood Grille - great food - great staff!

We plan to vacation at this home again!

Unpacked and ready to go to beach until...

We moved in, unpacked, groceries in the fridge and then the other family showed up! Apparently, the owner double booked our week. Great place but it took over 4 months for us to get our money back from her. We let the other family stay because we had my mother in laws place to go to- 4 of us crammed in a 1 brdm. Not what we had in mind but this owner had all our money. She sent $200 checks to us over 4 months- that's funny- we had to pay ALL to her at once. Would never rent from her again and I hope you don't either.
Owner's Response: Yes an error The first and only in six years of renting. Tenant failed to mention they were compt $200 and found other accommodations. It will not happen again as I'm triple checking everything and keeping in closer touch with everyone. Thank you.

Great Vacation!

This was a wonderful cottage at a great price. We rented the property off season (prior to the July 4th weekend) and really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Bailey Island. There were many activities to do with the kids including swimming at local state parks, combing the shore for all kinds of critters, and visiting local attractions. The sunsets and starlit skies were incredible and could be viewed right from the private deck. We plan on visiting again next year.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
