This house is situated on the westbranch of the Delaware River just a couple on miles below the Cannonsville Reservoir. Fishermen come from all over the country just to fish here. The wild trout are plentiful because the dam helps to keep the water at a ideal temperature for them.

Some of the best wild trout fishing within 75 feet of the back door. Enjoy fishing or just watching the wildlife including ducks, geese and the magnificent American Bald Eagles. Nature in the back yard while the business district is a short five block walk.
Local Festivals: Lumberjack Festival is always the 3rd weekend in July. The festival is a 3 day event starting on Thusday. The event includes a lumberjack compitition, craft fair, carnival rides, entertainment, great food and even a parade. Lots of former Deposit graduates return for class reunions.
The Ice Cream Run For Kids Sake is the last weekend in July when hundreds of motorcycles converge on the community to raise money for ill children in the surrounding area.
Oktoberfest takes place each year over Columbus Day weekend. There are communitywide garage sales on Saturday and a street fair on Sunday. There's great food, crafts and entertainment on the street.
Surrounding Attractions: The Soccer hall of Fame in Oneonta is only 45 minutes away. Cooperstown, the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Farmers' Musium and James Fenimore Cooper House is only an hour away. Corning Glass works is about an hour and 45 minutes, and Wine tasting in the fingerlakes is about the same.
