Nice Little House

KeepItSimple Kendall Park, NJ
Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
This was a nice little house for our small family on a visiting trip to Eugene. We have a 4 year-old, so staying in hotels is difficult at best. Our daughter loved the garden room and the house was comfortable for us. Having on site laundry was great. Also not being disutrbed by housekeepers was great! Only thing I would add would be to put in a microwave. Just makes some things a little easier with a kid in tow.

Excellent Experience in Eugene

Satisfied and Happy Anchorage, AK
Review Submitted: July 1, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The house lived up to its description and pictures. It was charming, comfortable, and had all the amenities we desired and some extras like excellent coffee provided. The owner even went out of her way to accommodate us with an early check in time since we had been traveling all night. The location was perfect too, close to downtown, shops, restaurants, etc. We were able to walk to many places nearby.

Eugene Bungalo

The property was as advertised. Appliances were new, bed was comfortable and gas BBQ was a plus. We hit a couple of days when the temperature reached the mid 90's and it took a while into the evening for the fans to cool the house but when the highs returned to the low 80's there was no problem. The owner provided biodegradable soaps and organic coffee for use during our stay. We had a minor problem with small ants in the kitchen but other than that all went well.

Delightful

What a great time we had in Eugene, and the best part was getting to stay in this house. We lived in Eugene about 30 years ago, so it was nice to come back and stay in an area we liked. The owner was very congenial and helpful, and quick to respond to all inquiries. The online description and pictures were accurate and the location was divine. We were able to walk to so many surrounding shops and restaurants, and travel time via car to other places seemed a breeze. We easily walked to the University campus. Having a washer and dryer was also a huge help........and having laundry detergent, soap, even shampoo and conditioner, was a bonus. The back cottage/garden room was very sweet and a great place to meditate while overlooking the backyard garden. We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and definitely plan to stay here again. Thank you again!!

Blissful Eugene

We spent 3 nights and 4 days at this rental property, both of us being first-time vacation rental users. It was (almost) everything I had hoped for in terms of privacy and romance and convenience! Approximately 1 mile from the core of downtown, in a very nice, old, character-laden neighborhood, this house was well maintained and very quiet. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and would likely return. The one and only thing that I regret not knowing in advance: it was a rare and balmy weekend in Eugene (high 80's/low 90's) and the house did not have a/c to my surprise. However, this was my own oversight, and opening the windows and using the fans helped keep things cool and comfortable. The owner was a pleasure to work with, was very responsive via email, and we really appreciate being able to stay in this amazing home. We both agreed that if we didn't have kids, we would LOVE to own and live in a house like this full-time.

I would recommend this home to all, and feel that it was very much worth the price.
