Exceeded Expectations!

A fantastic cottage that is clean, perfectly furnished and nicely decorated. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Although our visit was only a spontaneous extended weekend stay, we hope to return soon and stay much longer!

The Steakhouse restaurant, just a short distance away, is outstanding fine but casual dining. Mike's Clam Shack is also wonderful. They are both worth whatever the wait time may be! We also thoroughly enjoyed Big Daddy's Ice Cream. Congdon's Donuts are a spectacular treat, too.

Wells Beach is the closest (Moody Beach is technically privately owned) but we like Gooch's Beach in Kennebunk because there are less rocks which is easier on the feet, especially for the kids. Kennebunk requires parking permits which must be purchased in town but when you're staying for a week, we think it's worth the extra planning and effort.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage with us!

Great time in Maine.

My family and I have stayed at the cottage twice, now, and we love it. The place itself is cozy and comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. We also appreciate being so close to the pools.

It's always nice to have choices when you're on vacation, and this part of Maine gives us plenty of them. We can swim in the pools or go to the beach, go outlet shopping or antiquing, go sightseeing or fishing. Golf is also nearby, or we can just hang out and relax.

The whole area is teeming with great restaurants. Of course, it's a seafood lover's paradise, but other choices include breakfast, chicken, steak, pizza, and even barbeque.

We like to stay home and eat once in awhile when we're on vacation, and the cottage has a modern stove, and a large charcoal grill. It even has a huge lobster pot for us to use. There is a large, well stocked supermarket just down the street. What more could you ask? We hope to be able to return soon.

Our week we spent in Wells was fantastic! Our three boys(7,6 and 4) loved all of the activities that were available. The tennis courts and pools were the biggest hits. They were just asking when we can go back to the "biggest heated pool". It was perfect to come back and be able to swim in a heated pool after a chilly day at York Wild Kingdom. We also were able to visit many of the local beaches and we even found one that was secluded and you didn't have to pay to park! We were so perfectly located in the heart of the seacoast. We traveled north and saw a Portland Seadogs game and then on another day we went south and took a boat tour out to the Isles of Shoals out of Portsmouth! The area is also loaded with some great restaurants and grocery stores, all within a mile or so. The cottage itself is adorable. It was the perfect size for our family of five. I loved sitting out on the porch with a cup of coffee checking my email in the morning. It was also an adventure learning how to grill with charcoal, it really felt like a vacation. We even saw baby wild turkeys across from the cottage. The boys loved that! I would certainly recommend this getaway to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy what southern Maine has to offer!!

Great Family Vacation

What a wonderful, quaint cottage. My family loved it for the second year in a row and my son is already asking when we can go back. The house was very comfortable and nicely decorated – the size was as advertized – the six of us just fit but we weren’t cramped. My 14 year old son says it’s a “huge amount of fun in a compact area”…the pool is right there, the beach is driving distance, the rec center with gym is very convenient and shopping is right around the corner. What more could we ask for in a vacation spot?!? I've also been there for a "girls" weekend which was perfect - great area, great restaurants and great wine...again, what more could we ask for!

My husband and I stayed in this adorable cabin for a few days and absolutely loved it! The cabin was a cute size, and adorably decorated! We had everything we needed to cook the lobsters we bought on our way up, pots, glassware, etc. They even had some fun board games for the one rainy day we had while we were there! This cottage is a little far back in the complex, but it is so nice because there are fewer neighbors back there! The game rooms in the clubhouse were great too, and the pool is beautiful! I highly recommend a stay here!

The cottage was exactly as advertized but we did find the neighboors too close. The pool was just right and close except for too few tables with parasols for shade. I thought the cleaning implements were rudimentary. Loved the screened porch. We cleaned the stove as best we could but it needs a scaper job. Pots and pans were fine as were the oversized dishes. I would do this again and recommend to friends and family. next time we want to be on the beach.
