We went with our 5 year old and it was perfectly equipped for us. Exactly like the website, a duplex with an ocean view from the hot tub with a pleasant breeze. The air conditioning units in suite 7, were of good quality, which is also important to me. We prefer this style to all inclusive, and there is plenty of choice locally with the beach in front and fifth ave behind. I thought the best bit of beach was just at this location too and there is the best sandcastle making sand I have ever seen. We all got quite competitive! There is noise at night, particularly it seemed on the weekend, but I guess that is the price for the central location and nothing to do with the suites. We didn't let it bother us, really enjoyed our holiday and we would like to come back to Playa del Carmen again.

We found the Blue Pearl Suites on-line, (the first time we've done that for a vacation) and were very pleasantly surprised!!! If you want to be "Right in the Middle" of Playa, this is it!! Julio and his staff were fantastic!! 2 minutes to the beach one way, 2 minutes the other direction and your on 5th ave. Julio was great with advice for day trips, where to go for a massage, and places to dine out. I love cooking and Walmart was a short walk with a great selection. The room was clean and well maintained. If you need anything, just ask Julio and he'll make it happen. This year we went for 8 nights, next year were already booked for 9 nights and can't wait to get back and relax!! I will mention the music at night...close your sliding doors, A/C on and No Problem. This is definitely in the Heart of Playa and we loved it!!!

We just returned from our 10 day trip to Mexico. We started our stay spending 2 nights at The Blue Pearl and we are so glad we did. From the moment we walked into our room I was so happy. We stayed in suite 7 with a group of 6 people. Perfect! The room was 2 stories with 2 bedrooms and 2 couches. Free wi-fi. The suite was exceptionally clean (and I am picky) and the service was impeccable. It has a view of the beautiful sea and is right in the middle of town. Super convenient. Parking was several blocks up at a pay garage but your really don't need a car if staying at this hotel because you are right there in the midst of it all. There was some noise from the clubs down the street at night, but the AC fan covered it up and I slept like a baby. Starbucks is only a couple blocks away as well! The hotel roof pool is gorgeous and we were the only ones that used it. Small kitchen and bottled water is there. Don't think twice, put this place on your place to stay. We spent the following week at our big, fancy time share resort (The Mayan Palace). I much preferred The Blue Pearls location and accommodations to the big resort. It was hard to leave. Oh, and check out the restaurant right downstairs for breakfast - yumm!

What can I say that hasn't been said? This is one of the most beautiful, charming boutique/condo/hotels in Playa. We have been trying them all in the area and made 5 trips to Mexico last year. You will not find a friendlier, most accomodating staff! I made all of the reservations and transportation through Julio and he helped me WITH EVERY DETAIL. Even our airport transfers to his hotel. This place is immaculate. CLEAN! CLEAN! CLEAN! Yes, We did turn the air conditioner up one (weekend) night and it worked perfectly to drown out the faint sounds of the nightclubs down the street. No problem.
We stayed in the off season and I believe we had the entire place to ourselves. Julio even went to the extreme and gave us the 2 br suite (#7 see pics) for 1 night! (It was our anniversary) The rooftop pool and view is unbeatable. We had it all to ourselves. One day we spent the entire afternoon just lounging in the sun with cocktails up there.
I can't say enough about Blue Pearl ..it also played a part in us absolutely falling in love with this neighborhood. There is the beach 1/2 block away. Also, Zenzi, Wickey's (a bit pricey but it's vacation and it was fabulous) Indigo, and numerous beach bars/restaurants of all prices and dining options within walking distance. 5th Ave is a 1/2 block up the hill..I'm not sure how or why the person who only gave this 3*'s couldn't find acceptable dining?? NOT! THERE ARE HUNDREDS of places to eat. Also, it is worth mentioning because Americans especially seem to have the concept that ALL of Mexico is too dangerous and won't travel to Playa..ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I feel safer walking 5th Ave than most streets in the US..any day or night! This is a beautiful tourist area and they keep it that way. It is absolutely a different world here. You are also not going to have the Cancun experience here. :) yay.
The people are just wonderful and accomodating.

A super stay. Lovely and clean apartment, great staff. Super location, very close to the marvelous beach, good food and party. Definately the best place to stay in Playa del Carmen. My third time here. Can`t wait to come back to Julio and the Blue Pearl Suites

Blue Pearl Suites is a great place to stay when you want to be just a block away from the beach and 5th Ave. We stayed in one of their 2 bedroom units with some of our good friends and loved the location. The hotel staff is great, Julio is the manager and he provided fantastic recommendations for places to visit and eat.
The only potential downside depends upon your perspective. Its one block south of 12 Norte which is the corner with several clubs that play music into the early morning. With the windows closed and the A/C going it didn't bother us, and we liked the proximity to 5th and the beach, plus the clubs were fun for a couple of nights.
Overall I'd highly recommend the Pearl. The roof top pool is quiet and a nice view of the ocean, and with only 8 unit in the bldg it was never busy.
We plan on returning on our next trip.

What and awesome place, I cant say enough about the hotel and the staff. they go that extra step to ensure you are happy and SAFE, we had a local friend come and try to get up to visit us and was stopped the staff came to our room first to ensure he was coming to visit us.........wow that was awesome. also you might think the noise from the clubs would be bad, but with the door closed we didnt hear anything.
