lakes -- 6 miles long, 120+ feet deep, clean and clear. Great swimming, fishing, boating. 30
minutes to Acadia National Park (great hiking). Close to several charming towns (Ellsworth,
Surry, Blue Hill, Bar Harbor, etc.). While close to all these places, the house itself is 4 miles off
the highway, via dirt roads.
Available year-round. Fall is for foliage and festivals. Winter is for quiet, exquisitely beautiful landscapes, and a host of winter sports. Spring is the great awakening -- fishing and birdwatching are both at their best -- a chance to savor the long days without the summer crowds. Summer hardly needs mentioning -- boating, swimming, hiking, fishing, relaxing -- classic Maine!
