A Place at the Beach has a lot of great amenities for a family vacation. We went from the beach to the outdoor pool with water slide to the indoor pool with hot tub daily. The kids also really enjoyed the miniature golf, tennis court and ping pong table. The beach was not crowded and there are some good restaurants nearby. Fort Macon was a great day and we spent about 5 mins in the car a couple of days to go to Beaufort, NC to visit the wild horses of Shackleford Island and take the Ghost Walk tour. If you stay in this condo remember to bring sheets and towels. There is a linen service for sheets but it was a little pricey and it doesn't include towels, toilet paper or paper towels. This would be a 5 star rating if the property updated a little. Everything was clean but the salt air is harsh. Overall, the price was great for something 3 times the size of a hotel room and we had a great time!

What a great little vacation...Owners were wonderful to work with as well as the staff at "A Place at the Beach". Amazing rates for all the amenities that you get. Perfect location for us. Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is awesome and so is a trip to Fort Macon. The highlight was a trip to Shackleford Banks to see the wild ponies. Love the area..not too crowded and commercialized. Would definitely rent this place again!

The Lyons Den is a lovely condo. The pics don't do it justice. Truly a cozy, relaxing stay!

The condo location was right near the beach, just a short walk away. The staff at A Place at the Beach was very friendly and helpful during our stay. During our stay, there were not a lot of visitors in the general area so there was very little traffic around town. The aquarium was a few miles down the road and was very nice. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience.

My family and I had the greatest vacation. The Lyon's Den was the perfect place for this family of four. The place was clean and had everything we needed to make it like home. So many activities on site such as put put, indoor pool, game room, and the kids favorite attraction the out door pool with 150ft water slide. The convenience of near by attractions made our stay amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation.

We had a great vacation! My husband traveled with our two boys, ages 6 and 8. Since the weather was cool, we took advantage of the indoor pool. It was warm, clean, and spacious. We also played mini golf and did a lot of shelling.

The condo was amazing and well maintained. The decor was updated and I managed to find everything I needed (and more) for the kitchen. The pictures don't really do it justice, it's better in person. The balcony was nice (and big.) We enjoyed coffee every morning and enjoyed the ocean. Although it's not right on the ocean, you can see and hear it just fine! (I'm a snob about my vacation rentals--when I stay at the beach, I need to wake up to the ocean!) This condo was great.

It was a lot more spacious than what I thought it would be. The master was great, opened to the balcony. It had a tv and vcr. The 2nd bedroom was perfect for the kids. They enjoyed the DVD's that were there. They watched Milo and Otis every night...now I have to buy it! Having 2 bathrooms was really convenient.

The rental process was easy and Cathy was kind and accommodating. She was easy to contact and left clear instructions for arrival and departure. This vacation was a 5 star experience!
