Our stay at Villa Alegria was wonderful!! The Villa is located in a tranquil residential area away from the busy downtown area of Playa del Carmen. We had all the amenities of being at home while on vacation. It was a perfect place for our family of five. We used taxis to transport us near and far and did not have to deal with driving and parking, which was great. We found the taxis to be courteous and economical. (50 pesos to get to the center of town or to the nearest grocery store. which is less than $5) We used the Reef club two full days and purchased an all inclusive pass, which we found to be worthwhile for our family, two meals and unlimited drinks all day! Activities abound in the area and in a week's time we managed to visit Chichen Itza, Cozumel, Islas Mujeres (a personal favorite) and XCaret, which was a delightful surprise and the kids particularly enjoyed swimming with the dolphins). Definitely stay for the the night show, it was fabulous. Tickets are pricey, but worth the experience, especially with kids... (Ours range in age from 19-12) All around a fun and relaxing vacation! We spent Xmas and New Years, what a great time. The condo was perfect. Everything was exactly as shown. Playacar, where the condo is located, is a small city in itself. There is alot to do, yet the excitment of downtown Playa Del Carmen is right outside the gate. The beaches are wonderful, especially in Tulum where they are unspoiled. We never ran out of things to do in Mexico and we will certainly be back.

I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Alegria. The Villa was clean, comfortable, and the pool in the backyard was perfect for laying out in the sun. I especially loved the kitchen and the nights that we didn't want to go out we would BBQ on the grill outside. Taxi's were abundant and we never had problems getting from the Villa to the Reef club...which was very nice as well. I miss the beautiful beaches already!

Villa Allegria was beautifully presented which exceeded our expectations on arrival. It was fresh & clean and well-maintained. We were central to most everything and found no hassle with catching a taxi from the front of the Villa within 5 min. The owner was amazing and a wealth of knowledge who provided everything we needed from the word "GO". The information (FAQ sheet) also really helped us being "first timers" to Mexico.

The Villa exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean and well-maintained; No detail was left out. All the amenties were provided. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and provided accurate, useful information (FAQ sheet). Definitely recommended!! Our stay was excellent - couldn't have asked for better.

My family and I went from December 26, 2007 thru January 2, 2008. We felt like home. The location of the property was perfect since we were able to drive to Cancun some days, and then went to Tulum and other interesting places within a short driving distance. We loved the Reef Club that was offered with the rental of the property. It was a great location for a vacation that we recommend to everyone.

We felt very comfortable and right at home at Villa Alegria. The home was in perfect condition and very accommodating. Everything was very thought out and planned for the perfect vacation; from beach towels and cooler to back patio bar-b-que, local restaurant menus to spices in the kitchen, the king size bed and port-a-crib. The property manager was also very responsive and tended to our every question.

The property was exactly as described in the website. It was a beautiful condo that comfortably housed our family of 6. It was great to have a washer and dryer and a full kitchen. Our daughters loved the pools in the back. A great little extra was the cell phone. That was a very nice ammenity that made our stay just that much better. The property manager was available whenever needed and we felt right at home. We would recommend this property to anyone.
We especially enjoyed shopping on 5th avenue, snorkling and the night show at xcaret was absolutely incredible. Our daughters ages 13,11,9,6 were enchanted and enthralled for the 2 hour + show. The ruins at Tulum were also great, but bring your swimsuit. It was extremely hot and the beach there is beautiful.

Thanks again for letting my wife and I stay in your townhome. It was PERFECT! We loved every minuite of the stay. The reef club was GREAT. We must have spent 15 hours on the outdoor beds on the beach. We will call again next trip down to Playa.

We were 2 families w/kids looking for a nice, decent accomodation; the property was awesome and the place (Playa del Carmen) was perfect -- not very commercial, not very isolated either !!! Property was well maintained, clean and perfect for families.
The owner Dee was great with information, very courteous and helpful (great FAQ, has thought of everything); the property manager Erin was there for our every call as well.
Only thing to keep in mind is to stop by a grocery store on the way to the property, b'cos its a bit of a short taxi ride.
Me and my family had a blast and I would highly recommend this property to anyone and a place I might visit again.
