26 Salmon Drive is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin situated on the Trinity River in the remote and beautiful historic mining town of Lewiston. Steelhead and salmon fishing right from the river bank of the property combined with the Bucktail drift boat access directly across the river makes this getaway the optimal location for fisherman and outdoor enthusiasts.

This cabin is nestled in the trees on the Trinity River with a quiet scenic view from the large covered porch, which we have found perfect for relaxing and grilling after a day on the river. Our property extends all the way to the river bank, across the river from Bucktail Hole. The house itself is set back about 100 yards from the river, a quick minute walk to have your feet in the water.

The house includes a bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen complete with an outdoor gas grill. There is a dining table off the kitchen inside as well as a large dining table on the deck. This is a home away from home for us, so we try to keep all the typical cooking and dining essentials handy.

The master bedroom includes a new queen size bed as well as a twin size day bed. The second bedroom has two extra long twin beds which is plenty of room for two adults. If you find yourself needing additional sleeping accommodations, we have a king size aero bed available as well. Linens and bath towels are provided as well as starter paper products.

The living room is conveniently adjacent to the kitchen and dining area with a flat screen television with Direct TV. This house also has heating, air-conditioning, washer/dryer, and free long distance from the house phone. Smoke-free please and "good" dogs welcome. Cute and cozy home near fly fishing

This home was perfect for our needs, nicely decorated, and close to fishing (1 minute walk to Bucktail hole on the Trinity, 3 minutes from Trinity Fly Shop, 5 minutes to Lewiston, 15 minutes to weaverville). Direct TV and free phone is a plus as there's no cell service. We had 10 deer grazing in the yard one morning and scenery is beautiful. I would stay here again, owners easy to deal with.

Home away from home by the river

We celebrated our marriage of 30 years at this wonderful house on the Trinity River. The house is very clean, comfy, and well maintained. It is actually a lot bigger than it looks on the website photos. It was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Loved having the washer and dryer on site. We ate breakfast and dinner on the deck, watching the local wildlife and listening to the river rush by. During the day, we enjoyed the local fishing, hiking, museums, and other sightseeing in nearby Lewiston and Weaverville. We're planning a return trip soon.

I have stayed at this house twice in 3 years. Aside from having difficulty finding it both times - dont assume your navigation will work and take printed directions - went with 4 guys each time to go steelhead fishing on the Trinity. The house is comfortable, beds comfortable, kitchen functional and well eqipped, gas grill on the back deck, lots of hot water, all provided for a great guys weekend. I have still not seen this house in the daylight since we were fishing early to late.

I recommend this property highly.

We truly enjoyed our two nights and days at the Trinity River Rental, the description was very accurate - it had everything we needed. The photos make the house seem smaller than it is, we had plenty of room for the three adults and two babies. It was very clean and comfortable! We slept so well in the peace and quiet, all we could hear was the river rushing by. We sat outside and watched deer and rabbits scooting around. It wasn't far from town where we have relatives and all the supplies we needed. We would definitely recommend this to others.
