Spend a relaxing time inside this spacious (over 2900 sf) residence that sleeps 10 comfortably. Immense amounts of space to wind down, gas fireplace (no wood, no hassle), two car garage, fully equipped kitchen to cook up the freshly caught trout, playroom for the kids and even a laundry room. Then just step outside to the huge wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and a swing to gaze at the majestic ambiance of the mountain views. And because I know that we still have to stay connected even on vacation, there is free Wi-Fi available for all guests.

Given the size, quality, and location of Carolina Mountain Dream, you’ll be hard-pressed to find better value elsewhere. Our rates include those sometimes-hidden charges like reservation fees and cleaning fees. We’ve never received a negative review—all of our past guests have been very happy with their stay at our home. Many are repeat visitors.

If you are searching for things to do in Maggie Valley, look no further. Located on the fringe of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and two national forests, outdoor pursuits like hiking, camping, biking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and ziplining are favorites. You can also head over to the Cataloochee Valley area of the park and see the elk, which have been successfully reintroduced into the park. The Blue Ridge Parkway is ideal for motorcyclists and driving tours, with spectacular views of the rolling mountains. The newly re-opened Ghost Town is about a five minute ride away.

For the kids, try miniature golf or snow tubing, go-cart racing or snowboarding. Maggie Valley is also a great central location for mountain biking and road biking – head over to Tsali for a mountain biking day trip or up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for some of the best road riding in the South.

Fall is a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors either as a leaf looker exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway or hiking to a commanding view in Pisgah National Forest. When the temperatures drop, Cataloochee Ski Area begins churning out the snow and grooming the slopes. Cataloochee consistently has one of the longest-running ski seasons in the Southeast, and features a variety of trails, from steep black diamonds to easy runs for beginners. Snowboarders can carve the slopes or try the latest tricks at the terrain park.

We are located less than three miles away from the entrance to Ghost Town and Cataloochee.
