excellent--especially for the money

We went to villa for business & pleasure. The immediate view of the pool was great--our children loved that! We loved our walks to the beach and the beautiful Driftwood beach. We hadn't realized from the reviews how close we were to the beach!!!!! an awesome plus!The space was nice and clean. The location was very convenient to the Sea Turtle Center and not far from St. Mary's where we wanted to take the ferry to Cumberland Island. Our trip was very pleasant and knowing that we didn't have to spend as much on accomodations made it that much more wonderful.

This property was truthfully advertised, everything you see in the description is what you get and much more. The Villas staff is very friendly and courteous and most importantly for any vacation "laid back" Georgia style, like it used to be in Florida many years ago. Our 2 year old loved the kiddie pool, which is the largest one I have seen yet and the solar heating made it comfortable even in November. Great Place to vacation and I am definitely looking forward to returning for another stay. Thanks Boyd!

Very nice condo and complex for a quiet getaway. Just wished there was more beach area available regardless of the tide.

Owner's Response: Cheryl is correct, beach use is limited to low tide usage. During high tide, you must make use of the sandy area above the protective rip-rap. We provide tide charts for planing your day, and of course there are many public beaches within a 5 minute drive that offer access 24/7. There is also a boardwalk along the beach that can be used anytime and is a beautiful stroll as well as a walking path along Magnificent Driftwood beach to the north. The overall atmosphere at the Villas is by far the best value on the Island, but I may be biased.

My 2 teenagers, 3 year old daughter, and my husband and I have just returned home from a wonderful vacation. We all loved the Villa. It was clean and so comfortable. The couches were especially comfy after all of the walking, biking and swimming we did each day. My 15 year old loved the shrimp at the "Rah Bar". I think he ate 2 pounds all by himself. The baby pool was perfect for our toddler and it was so conveniently located directly outside our Villa. We are already thinking of our return. I also want to thank Boyd Smith, the owner, for everything he did to help us enjoy our stay even more.

My husband and I stayed at your condo during Thanksgiving 08. We were very pleased with the amenities with the condo as well as the overall complex. It was very convenient for every activity we were planning. Bikes were available to rent at the complex as well, saving us from leaving our car somewhere else. Absolutely loved the bike riding and the overall island. The complex was a few steps away from the beach that also had a gazebo that you could stand on and watch the tide come in. Overall just a great experience. We plan on taking more trips with our children and would definitely stay at the condo again. I encourag everyone to get away from home and Jekyl is very laid back -no hussle and bussle of everyday activites however you can drive a few miles and be back in the hussle and bussle. Our stay at the condo also got us free adminisions to the Emerald Princess - casino which also a good experience.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday season spent in this villa. My daughter and her family live in Brunswick and this was an opportunity for me to combine a visit with them and have a little personal R&R time. The villa was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. It was all I had hoped for and more. Parking was very near the door to make it easier to "move in" and no steps to climb until you were ready to go upstairs to the bedrooms, limiting what had to be carried upstairs. My only regret is that I didn't get to stay longer. Perfect weather, lots of beach time, and such a quiet and relaxing location. Boyd went out of his way to be accomodating as I went through the rental process with him. I tend to be a last minute person and he as so gracious to work with me as well as he did. I hope to be able to return again soon. KC

What a lovely week! My daughters and grandchildren spent a wonderful week at your condo and thoroughly enjoyed it. The condo was immaculate and completely equipped. The pool was so convenient and the beach not far away. I suppose my favorite was the drift wood beach. It is so beautiful and I could have spent hours there. We have been to Jekyll several times over the years and always enjoy the Historic area, especially the Christmas Shop and the Sweet Shop. This was by far our best trip and we look forward to returning. Thanks for this lovely experience.
