Wonderful Weekend

Kim484 Charlotte, NC
Review Submitted: October 10, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Thank you for a great trip! The house is great, the kitchen is well equipped, and firewood is cut and ready to go. We came up in October for a girls weekend and had a great time. The hike to the Appalachian trail was beautiful, it is about 4 1/2 miles round trip from the front door of the house. The wine is a great touch and much appreciated. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Great Mountain Experience

Review Submitted: October 9, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We had a great time at Hampton Gap Lodge and the hosts were extremely helpful and accomodating. The area has great history and the mountains are unbelieveably beautiful and healing. The computer and internet were a great addition. We were able to visit the Biltemore easily and attend a play at Mars Hill College which was a last minute but great addition to our trip. I would certainly recommend Hampton Gap Lodge.

Beautiful weekend

Review Submitted: December 16, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2008
Five of my friends and myself spent the weekend here. We arrived to a wonderful cabin in the woods, complete with Christmas lights outside, a Christmas tree, and a light dusting of snow. It was the perfect getaway before the rush of the holiday season. Everything was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the supply of board games and cards. Thanks for making this a memorable weekend!

Best Family Reunion...

D'Ann Asheville
Review Submitted: December 3, 2008 Date of Stay: November 2008
I just wanted to thank Chase for allowing my family the oppurtunity to spent one of the best Holidays together we have had in a long time. The cabin has great energy and there was plenty of room and supplies that had every moment feeling like home. When I arrived there was a bottle of wine waiting for me and I did not waste anytime opening it and starting my vacation.( very good wine by the way!) later that evening my family arrived and we all celebrated our reunion. My family and I spent most of our time out doors around the firepit that was supplied with plenty of firewood. We spent one of days hiking the nearby community trail that lead to the Appalachain Trail that had many views of distant mountains. Thanks to the fact that the cabin was pet friendly my dog Ellie was able to enjoy the time with us, she too had a wonderful time hiking. The cabin was also supplied with a radio/Cd player and on Thanksgiving day was used to have a dance off that involved everyone showing off their best dance moves. After cooking a wonderful Thanksgiving meal the kids spent time watching movies on the many Tv's throughout the cabin and the adults outside by the fire. I would recommend this home for anyone looking to get away with a loved one, group or family gathering. Thank you Chase. I wish you much success.
D'Ann

Fabulous Girls' Getaway

NCGAL223 Charlotte, NC
Review Submitted: October 21, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
We visited the Hampton Gap Lodge for a bachelorette weekend this past weekend, and we had the most wonderful time! There was a bottle of wine and some coffee waiting for us upon our arrival. The only thing we missed was a guest book so we could write about what a lovely time we had! Thank you for your hospitality--the beds and linens are very high quality, which is rare for a vacation rental. We slept so comfortably! The kitchen was well-equipped. The proximity to Asheville was perfect for a day trip to the Biltmore. I can't wait to go back!

Thank You Chase, your home was very clean and
roomy. We had 7 adults, a 10 month old, & 2 dogs.
The Bottle of Wine and Coffee was such a nice
touch.
We had a wonderful time. Perfect location.
Just around the corner from the Nature Trail that
"hooks up" to the App. Trail (2 miles).
Close to the horse stables for horseback riding
and the Wolf Laurel Country Club for golfing.
Thank you for making available the member keys
to be able to use the Tennis courts, basketball
courts, & swimming pool. Also, supplying fishing
poles for the trout pond was another nice touch.
Your kitchen was supplied with everything we
needed.
There was nothing we needed or wished we had
brought with us, Thanks. All we needed was our
groceries.
I'm sure we will be contacting you again to stay in
your home.
