Beautiful apt, amazing views, a perfect stay!!!

I had the pleasure of staying at this studio apt for the past month while I interned at the hospital, and I have nothing but excellent things to say about my experience!!! The apt was adorable, decorated with an island flair, and the large pull-out couch was perfect for visitors that stayed the night. The view from the balcony is breath-taking, and I felt very safe in that it was a gated community with a guard. The pool is literally right outside the door, and the beach was an enjoyable 5 minute walk away. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I highly recommend this apt to anyone who can stay here. Thanks for a wonderful place!!

I'm Returning Again!

I wondered what was going to be wrong because the price was low. The condo was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals, and comfortable.
I was snorkeling at Sapphire Beach and came upon a school of large angel fish that came right up to me!
Safari taxis (open air tourist vans) let you travel the island for $1 and $2 each way, so we did not need to rent a car. This condo is close to waiting for them. I did not want to drive on the left side.
The driver provided to and from airport was wonderful! Restaurants are expensive but there is one there on the property with a small bar.
The swimming pool is right outside the condo. You will get a workout walking around the property. The view, and weather, was outstanding!
We took a St John Champagne Sailing Cruise which was the highlight of our trip.
I cannot wait until I return again next year!
Owner's Response: We're glad to hear your had a great trip. We'd love to have you rent from us any time ! Thanks !

Soulful escape

If you're looking to get away from the hustle of the city and just relax while trying to get a real feel of a different area, this place is for you. It's not fancy. But it's perfect to reconnect with yourself or a few good friends. Plus, when you wake to the Caribbean Sea to your left, you don’t want to spend time in the room anyway. You basically shower (nice space, but limited hot water), get dressed (full-length mirror and sink outside the shower facilities, so multiple people can get ready at the same time), and sleep (sheets and pillows were musty, so this is where I docked the place points). The walk to the beach from the condo is nothing, but walking up the hill on the way back is a great workout. And you're close to Red Hook, where you can take a $12 ride boat ride (one-way) to St. John for a wonderful day trip. (Snorkeling at Trunk Bay is a must!) For two bucks, you can take the "safari" to the market and get food (condo has a stocked kitchen) or shop in busy downtown where all the huge cruise ships port. And if you go during Thanksgiving, you can catch competitive basketball at the Paradise Jam on the university's campus. Aside from the basketball, I preferred to chill on the near-private beach and snorkel in St. John. After a week, I felt refreshed and overwhelmed with beautiful memories with my girlfriends. My soul thanked me for it.
Owner's Response: thanks I wish I would have knowed about the sheets we would have replaced them thanks jeff

Perfect Island Retreat

Review Submitted: November 8, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
I enjoyed Sapphire Beach Resort so much. The location is one of the best on the Island. Walking distance to Red Hook. That is where ther is shopping, dining and the ferry to take you to St. John. There is a marina located on the grounds with jet skis, fishing and outer Island excursions. Everything is just minutes away. I can't say enough. The owners representaive was the nicest. Very helpful with picking me up at the airport and the return as well. Thanks again, Lisa from Lake Tahoe
Owner's Response: thanks lisa it was very nice to do business with you thanks jeff

I have stayed in this condo every year for the past 3years sometimes twice/year...it has a truly amazing view of the Island, the beach,St John and at night to sit on the patio and relax is breathtaking. The condo itself is clean, well kept and great service if there were any problems at all they were adressed and resolved immediatly. Location is perfect you are close to all ammenities and if you do not wish to rent a car you can grab a cab or dollar taxi. You will stumble over the hill to beach or pool within 2 minutes. This is truly a great, reasonable and economic place , the owners are wonderfull to deal with.
Owner's Response: thanks they have been great renters thanks again jeff

Beautiful Views

For the price this place can't be beat. It has the GREATEST Views of the ocean and near by islands. The condo it self is not the most up to date decor, but it is clean and comfortable. We are the type of people that go on vacation to see the sights, not spend our time in the room so this place was perfect !!! The beach was very beautiful and very private. We could leave our "stuff" on the beach and snorkel and no one would bother our things. We felt very safe and secure on our beach. We went to a public beach and left after an hour because it was sooo crowded and we had to keep an eye on everything we had.

I do recommend renting a car so you can buy groceries and cook some of your meals. Going out to eat and groceries are VERY expensive. You can walk to Red Hook it is only 20 min. walk. In Red Hook "Fat Boys" have great burgers !!!
We have been to Oahu twice, but I liked St. Thomas better. The scuba diving, snorkeling, and views are so much better. Sapphire Village is clean and quiet but there is the nightlife if you are looking for that too just over in Red Hook. I highly recommend this condo for the reasonable price and priceless views !!!! The owners were very polite and answered any questions that we had.
Owner's Response: Thanks, We're glad you had a great time !
