Even better than I expected!

We could not have had a more comfortable stay in this charming "cottage" located on a quiet street but convenient to all. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the garden was delightful. I definitely hope to return.

Perfect, quiet little getaway close to Union Street and lots of walking. Everything was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for 2 people. Nice big closet; and nice to have a washer and dryer. Inviting deck and yard. Plan to return again as it's only 2 blocks from our daughter!

Great location and serene, well-maintained property

I stayed at this place last nov for several weeks. It is a wonderful, romantic small cottage with a private graden. This place is very close to Union Street Shops and within waling distance of Marina Blvd and many other attractions of the city. On the Union street, one can also get connected to public transportation. Place is best for a single or a couple traveller. The property is clean, well-maintained, has good kitchen, washer-dryer, dishwasher etc. Only thing that would make it perfect - for me - would be having a parking space available with this property.

Charming cottage-perfect location!

We spent 5 days seeing the sights in SF. This cottage was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful patio and relaxing at the end of the day in the cozy cottage.The location was walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and near major bus routes.

The cottage is completely charming. Small but comfortable with extremely nice amenities and the best feature for me: clean, clean, clean. I was surprised at how quiet and private the cottage is, yet so close to the hustle of Lombard Street. Great location. Walkable to many restaurants and shops on Chestnut and Union. I would never complain about the SF weather! but parking can certainly be a challenge in this neighborhood.

Quiet hideaway in a great neighborhood

The cottage is very welcoming and secluded with a gated entrance. Everything was clean and well appointed. The location is terrific, walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, many restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. We took advantage of the spacious deck in the lovely garden.

In town for my daughter's wedding at Ft. Mason... The cottage was just a few blocks away! It was very clean, well furnished and comfortable. I met one of the owners and he was so very nice! My 84 year old mother with disabilities had no problem in this one level cottage. Would love to come again!

Quiet, cozy cottage with private yard in Cow Hollow

Our return to San Francisco was made more special by the location of this lovely cottage. We started the day with lattes from La Boulange on Union St. and walked to Marina Green stopping at the Friends of the library special bookstore in Fort Mason. The views of the bridge changed minute to minute as I clicked away. My personal love affair with the Golden Gate continued throughout the week. Scouted Union and Chestnut streets with their alluring dress shops and bakeries. Close proximity to all that I love about San Francisco. Well stocked kitchen, immaculate housecleaning, flowers in full bloom...ahhh!

Just as pictured

The cottage is just as pictured. A lovely place, secluded in a wonderful neighborhood. We had a fantastic weekend, walking everywhere. We only needed a car to return to the airport. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had what we needed. Our stay was brief and we didn't need the washer/dryer, but I appreciate that and means this location is perfect for an extended stay. We enjoyed wine on the deck and the garden area is lovely. Perfect for two!

An Urban Oasis

The cottage was perfect. It is very cute and feels extremely private. I liked the increased independence that I don't always experience in a hotel.
For daytime entertainment, we walked to the Marina at least every other day. The Pier 41 ferries are also within walking distance in addition to Fort Mason, which also features nighttime comedy and theater in addition to day time whale watching boats. Not having a car was no problem at all. The block is completely residential and very quiet - an oasis from the city's excitement and associated noise. You feel like you are right in the middle of everything but without having to deal with city noises (great for everyone that's not My Cousin Vinny).
I wish I had realized sooner just how cute Union Street is! The food and the shopping there are completely worth the trip. Highlights included multiple bakeries, thrift stores carrying lots of high end designers, discount clothing/shoe stores carrying mainly mid-level designers, and a huge assortment of bars and restaurants, including dive bars, wine bars, sandwich shops, Italian, French, sports bars, and even a Red Sox fan bar (though not as good for Sox fans as the Red Jack if you are willing to trek a touch further down Bay Street).
Overall I can't recommend this place enough. Great set-up, great location, great experience.
