Our family of four truly enjoyed our stay. The property is well maintained and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Located in the proximity of one of the most beautiful beaches, yet in a driving distance from Honolulu.
Thank You Susan for making us feel at home during our first visit to Oahu.
We hope that we will come back soon.

Kalama Kai Cottage

ROCKHOLM Nevada
Review Submitted: November 10, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
My girlfriends and I just spent 3 weeks (9/23-10/15) at this wonderful cottage. Susan couldn't have been more helpful, both in emailing me when I had questions b4 we got there or helping us after we got there. I usually stay in Waikiki but I wanted to get the feel of living there....and personally, I'm ready to move in right now! We come from Nevada and my only disapointment is that Nevada blocks and Hawaii are obviously not the same. I felt the beach was further away than 2 blocks and if you drive there it has no allowance for parking anywhere. However, there are other parts of the beach that are close AND I felt there were just as nice as the private one. Remember in Hawaii, the beaches belong to the people....by law, so no one can stop your access. And once again, my favorite place as always, Hanauma Bay! Other places just don't compare for snorkeling. Oh and be sure you rent a car, its an absolute must unless you just want to stay in the cabin the whole time, which wouldn't be that bad either. Thanks, Nevada Girl

We spent two wonderful months at Kalama Kai. Susan made sure that we had everything we needed and more! The cottage was clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated with Hawaiiana and well equipped. The outdoor space is beautiful and private for sunning or reading in the shade. We enjoyed Mojo's visits. It was sad to leave our Hawaiian home!

This was the fastest 2 weeks of our lives. We really enjoyed this cottage. The cottage was very clean and Susan and Chuck and Mojo were very nice, and made us feel at home. The beaches on this side of the island are very pretty and clean. We would recomend this to anyone who is interested.

VERY NICE PLACE TO STAY!!! Three of my closest friends and I stayed here for a friends wedding in 2007. The owner was very kind and provided us with ALL the comforts of home as previous guest have mentioned. It felt as if we were Hawaii residents=)

This cottage was great!! Susan and Chuck thought of everything. Coffee, tea, sugar, a sewing kit, beach towels, beach chairs, laundry detergent, I mean EVERYTHING! The bed was very comfortable, and the cottage was immaculate. My sister and I had a very comfortable stay, and we would definitely come here again. Thank you Susan and Chuck!

True Hawaiian retreat

Thomas and Silke Beijing, P.R. China
Review Submitted: June 29, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
This tastily decorated cottage with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday was the perfect place to enjoy the old Hawaiian aloha spirit. We cherished all the nice arts and crafts representing Hawaiian culture and enjoyed reading or having our meals on the cosy lanai facing the wonderful garden of the owners. The hosts were very helpful yet gave us all the privacy we needed.

If you want to enjoy a long sandy beach in still walking distance but avoid the hustle and bustle of Waikiki this is the ideal place to stay. We wholeheartedly recommend this place for your comfortable and romantic holiday.

We are looking forward to coming back soon.

Thomas & Silke, visiting from Beijing

This was our second trip to Hawaii in less than a year and it was by far the best. Our Kalama Kai cottege was everything advertised and more. We could not have asked for nicer or more gracious hosts than Susan and Chuck. We can recommend this rental as the best we have ever stayed at. Jack & Marty
Owner's Response: It makes us so happy to hear reviews like this one. It does mean a great deal to us for many reasons, but mostly just to know that we had a part in making a vacation a great one for one of our friendly visitors. Mahalo!
