This newly updated cottage is located on 100 feet of shore-front with stunning views of Lake Wentworth and the mountains beyond. A private sandy beach out-front is great for kids, and the spectacular lakeside setting is the perfect place for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and all sorts of water activities. Relax on the new swim raft, or head out on your boat to enjoy the lake. Fishing on Wentworth is a favorite pastime and the lake is known for its smallmouth bass. Bring your boat and come right up to the generous dock. Included in the rental is use of the canoe and kayak, and OPTIONAL fishing boat is available. There are swings outside for the kids and the cottage is located on a dirt road, great for bikes.
The main camp has three bedrooms with a queen bed downstairs in the master, and another queen upstairs. The third bedroom has two twin beds and there is a double bed in the separate loft area. There is one bathroom on the main floor with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a newer stove, microwave, refrigerator, cookware, and utensils. There is also a gas grill on the porch. The oversized glass sliders provide wonderful views from the great room and the large deck connects you with the outdoors.
5 BEDRROOM, 2 BATH Floorplan: (Optional for off-season rentals -- deduct $200-400 depending on season)
Access to the finished walk-out-to-the-lake lower level with fantastic views from the dual 9-foot sliders available for additional guests or those who enjoy more personal space (MAXIMUM 12 total) with two additional bedrooms with queen beds, generous bathroom with 6 foot soaking tub and granite, and bonus family room. (This is generally how we rent the house for prime summer weeks)
A gas fireplace set on the granite hearth helps set the mood for relaxation and country living on a cool night, but cable TV and a TV-VCR-DVD and stereo are also available for your evening enjoyment, as are TV's in the main bedrooms. There is no phone, but Verizon and other cellular services have good reception.
The lake itself is about five by three miles with many islands and a nature preserve, Stamp Act Island in the middle. It is known for its tranquility and the superb water quality, perfect for a peaceful vacation. Just a few minutes from downtown Wolfeboro, the house is close to shopping, fine dining and casual restaurants, golf, walking/hiking trails, museums, and all the activities provided by Lake Winnipesauke and the Lakes Region, yet away from the noise and crowds of the bigger lake.
