We rented this property in July 2009. What a great find. It was everything we wanted it to be and more. So private and peaceful. If getting away to relax is want your looking for, this is the place for you. My husband and two grown daughters (22 and 24) and Cali (our daughter's dog) all enjoyed this vacation get away. 45 Minutes to Myrtle Beach, 15 minutes to North Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed canoeing, fishing and swimming every day. This truly was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacations we've been on. We loved the fact you could hike around the lake and back, this was great for the dog. Definitely someplace we'd consider returning to.
Owner's Response: A very secluded and peaceful get-a-way, but our guest seem to have no problem finding their way to the farm. A great place to bring your furry friends so they can have a play week and you also can enjoy one gigantic swimming pool, the lake. We want you to feel right at home and enjoy your visit with us at the farm.

Paradise on a Farm!

Angel and Family Howard Beach, New York
Review Submitted: August 24, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We've just returned from our stay ... WOW… the house, lake, and property was wonderful.
Our boys and dog were in the lake every day. The house was close to many Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants making it great to plan day trips.
The house had everything you could need; you just have to bring a change of clothes.
We’ve already recommended the place to two of our closest friends.
Hope to go back soon!
Owner's Response: Springwater Farm is a great retreat for relaxing and enjoying nature. We personally meet all of our guest to make sure that everything is in order when they arrive. Every pet needs a vacation and it is always fun to greet them and see how they respond to the open fields and the lake.
Thank you for choosing Springwater Farm for your vacation.

Relaxing

This house is a wonderful getaway. The land goes on forever and it’s so peaceful and quiet. Myrtle Beach is only 30 minutes away and it’s an easy drive. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. We brought our little Yorkie with us and he loved romping around the backyard and hanging out on the porch with us. When we arrived, Carrie was there with brownies and fresh fruit which was a welcoming sight after a long drive. If you want a quiet secluded getaway with easy access to some action, this is the place to go. And for the price, you can’t beat it.

Wow, what a great place to find some peace and quiet. The accomodations were more than adequate they were the best. Everything we forgot, they had. We made our selves right at home including the three puppies. If it were not so far from New Orleans, we might would have to visit once a month. The grounds were beautiful and kept up allowing for great walks with the puppies around the lake. The house was clean and comfortable. We did drive to Joe's BBQ in Whiteville and into Loris to eat the Right Recipe (we highly recommend this place). At both places the food was excellent not to mention how nice everyone was. Thanks for a great time! Liz and Chris

Our family fun and private farm house vacation.

We just returned from our vacation yesterday. I can honestly say it was the most fun vacation we ever had. My husband, 2 dogs and I went swimming in the warm lake everyday. The ducks greeted us every morning for their food, and the birds sang their melody of songs. We took our quads and road around the lake and 150 acres of beautiful farm land. Carrie, her husband and sister greeted us with a beautiful plate of donuts, flowers and lite candles. It was so relaxing in the evening to sit on the big front porch or spotless farmhouse. Our 2 dogs are in a downer today, they miss their freedom, and the warm lake water. The four of us walked every morning around the private lake, the smell of the pine trees reminded us of Christmas morning. If you want a relaxing, fun vacation for you and your loved ones this is the place to be. Thanks Carrie and family for sharing your lovely home and land with us. Karen and Don and Girls (Katlyn and Chloe). See you next year.

5 stars for the lake house property!!!!!

My husband and I, my two dogs, and another couple stayed at the lake house in June 2008. I absolutely loved our time there. My dogs and I went swimming in the beautiful clean lake every day. We also used the canoe on several occasions that was there at the house for our use. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch rocking in our rocking chairs sipping drinks and eating snacks in the evenings while watching the wildlife and enjoying the view. The house is located near golf courses, and resturants. The home was well kept with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We even made a campfire one evening and roasted marshmallows. I highly recommend this farmhouse to anyone who enjoys nature, fishing, canoeing, swimming, golfing. You are also close to Myrtle beach if you want to spend a day at the ocean. The owners were wonderful and showed us around when we arrived. They were very helpful and happily answered all our questions. I am recommending this property to another member of my family. The description and amenities were accurate. Don't miss out on this beautiful place to stay!!
Owner's Response: The farm is a great place just to relax and enjoy quite time. Your pets can enjoy wide open space and swim. Our goal is to make your vacation a special one.

Great Vacation Rental

et1 Lebanon, OH
Review Submitted: August 14, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
I'll start off with the negatives with this property since it's a very short list: It's located about 35 miles from Myrtle Beach and it's a pain to drive that roundtrip every day, although with the new highways built around MB traffic is no problem.
Now for the positives: This place is so beautiful that you probably will just stay there most days. The lake was as warm as a pool, very clean and full of fish. The house looked almost new and was spotless when we arrived. Carrie was waiting for us upon our arrival with candles burning inside and a big cake plate filled with donuts. The pictures of this house does not do it justice. This was our first vacation with our dogs and they had a wonderful time chasing the ducks and roaming the property. If you book this property be sure to try "The Right Recipe" early in the week for dinner, it's only about 5 miles away. We didn't eat there until the last night of our visit and wished we'd found it earlier.
If I had to sum up what I liked best about staying at this property I would say it's the total absence of stress. There's no one playing the TV too loud in the next room, no loud neighbors, no traffic, just you and your family in a beautiful house on a beautiful private lake. We usually stay in an ocean front hotel and thought we'd miss the sound of the ocean in the morning, but having your coffee every morning in one of those big rockers on the porch overlooking the lake is a great thing.
Owner's Response: Wish it were possible to shorten the miles from the farm to the beach for our guest, but we can't. Just use the travel time to unwind from your busy day at the beach and look forward to returning to the farm for some nice quite time.

We do our best to make every guest feel special and welcome.

Asmall private lake, only half an hour from Myrtle Beach. Our family really enjoyed our week there. Carrie Rising did her very best to ensure our stay was a comfortable and convenient one. We look forward to going again!
