Situatied .8 mile from the Cataloochee Valley National Park, Elk Point is named for the area in the park where elk have been reintroduced in North Carolina after a 200 year absence. Elk Point adjoins the Cataloochee trail and is the perfect base station for hiking in the park.
Elk Point is a beautiful expansive log home on 10 private acres. The logs of Elk Point are hand-hewn with dovetail corners. The interior is all wood tongue in grove walls, floors and ceilings. At sunrise and star set you can enjoy fabulous views from the 4000 ft elevation of this house.
