Great Place for a Family Vacation

We stayed a couple of weeks ago and it's a great location, great home and had all the amenities. I have three teenage children and the four of us were very comfortable. We would defnitely do it again.

Wonderful vacation home

This is the 3rd year my family and I have stayed at the Dear Den and we love it. It is perfect in size, with plenty of sleeping areas and plenty of space for 3 small children to play, inside and out. It is clean and fully stocked, with some nice extras for my kids.
The location is perfect!! It is within minutes to shopping, Storyland and within 45 mins to Santa's Village. It is quiet and peaceful and an all around lovely place to stay.
Sharon has been wonderful and very helpful if we needed anything or had questions.
We love our time at the Dear Den and would highly recommend it to everybody.

We had the opportunity to rent the Dear Den for the 2011/2012 ski season and it was a great experience. The house is roomy and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need..and then some! The location couldn't be better and Sharon & Richard were very gracious owners and made everything easy. Thank you!

Went for family vac, which included four 5yrold boys and a 7yr old girl plus 5 adults. Happened to rain the whole week too... Needless to say the dear den was great. Plenty of room never felt crowded with everyone inside. Was not stuffy from the humidity. Close to downtown and convient for the trips to santas vilage and story land. If the weather cooperated, also close to alot of the great day hiking spots, with the waterfalls and such.
Affordable too, we probably saved at least $800 by not having to rent multiple hotel rooms for our group. Not to mention being able to cook our own food.
Highly recommend this as a get away from home.

I would have put "Excellent" except that city workers were working on the water lines the week we stayed. Water was turned off and the noise was not pleasant. HOWEVER, the location was perfect, the house so comfortable and our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We'll be back next year!

This is a very spacious home and it couldn't be in a more convenient location. Close to all area attractions, yet it feels like you are miles away from the busy activities. We thorougly enjoyed our stay and plan on returning next summer.

Excellent location with spacious living space (internet photos did not do justice) and short driving distances to all the major attractions. Despite living in time-share properties the past 2 decades, we were surprised by this little “gem”. We love home-cooked food, so this home with a well-furnished kitchen and spacious dining and living rooms were great (more than sufficient for 3 couples). We are so close to supermarket, stores, shopping outlets that we were able to shop till 9/10 pm. This beautiful and gracious home is well-equipped with all the comforts of home, away from home. Would return again and definitely recommend this treasure to anyone.

Great Vacation Home Away from Home

I have been visiting this home for the past 7 years for Girls Weekend.We all have had great times. There is plenty to do in the area , train rides, pumpkin people hunting,shopping of course to many fun things to mention. Each year we visit the owners have made their home more like our home, it is comfy and has all the comforts of home. It is always clean and neat I have vistied the Chalet at all four seasons We can stay in if its rainy and cold and enjoy the wood burning stove or enjoy the porch and TV and cook and eat till we explode or head out for the day on a great adventure. I enjoy myself each and every time I am there so do all my friends Take a moment to check this place out
