Each bedroom sleeps 2. A queen-sized sleeper in living room sleeps 2 more.

First floor: Large open living room with eastern views of the harbor and ocean and western views of the Western Mountains. Sailing lessons and kayak rentals are available in town. Sailing excursions are available in Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor. I can't understand the previous review. We have stayed here for 4 years in a row and loved it. Not only has it always been clean, but it's well equipped, and everything works. The owner is the most responsive and helpful one we've found in the area. The house is nicely furnished and in a great location. We hope to go back in future years.

Owner's Response: We have many return visitors who love our home and location year affter year. Each year we make enhancements to the home to improve our guests' experience. We always offer suggestions and recommendation for what to do on the island if a guest requests. There aren't many island views and locations at our price point.

We stayed in this cottage Sept 11-17, 2010. The bathrooms and kitchen were quite dirty: lots of cobwebs and dirty bathrug in master bath, mould all around the bathtub and walls in other bathroom, plus faucets very difficult to operate. Mould in coffeepot on the kitchen counter and on fruit in refrigerator, pots and pans that had to be scrubbed before use.
Foul odor in an upstairs bedroom forced us to keep window open at all times.
Dirty bedspreads and blankets, and sheets which did not fit the master bed.
A lot of dust everywhere.
The overall situation (mostly mould and dust) forced us to leave one day early.
We wrote the owner od October 1 about the problems we encountered, but we have not heard from him.
We do not wish to publish a review, we just would like to know that the problems are being addressed.
