Little Red is an outstanding place to stay. I found it extremely clean, well furnished and with a gorgeous view of the Shenandoah River.

It was easy to get to and easy to get to where ever I wanted to go.

Barbara was very quick to reply to my questions and very helpful.

I will be back again.

Little Red is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The location on the river was wonderful! We had great thunder and lightning storms, as well as many birds we do not have in Seattle. A week is not enough time for the area-- I'm sure we will return.

The property was very clean and well maintained, however, the deck was a bit slick in the wet, and may need some cleaning. Also, I felt the kitchen appliances could use some updating, primarily the microwave.

Overall, a lovely stay--highly recommended--great hosts--can't go wrong!

Our first visit to "Little Red" was just what we both needed. The house is very clean and well kept. Lots of room for family inside and outside. The deck was wonderful and being able to open the windows and listen to the river was so very relaxing!

The town of Front Royal is just right and close to our family who live within 15 minutes of "Little Red'.

Everything is convenient and we felt right at home.

Perfect Getaway

This home is wonderful. The interior exceeds what is shown in the pictures. Nicely decorated, it reminds me of a picture out of Cottage Living Magazine. The den has a brick woodburning fireplace that was perfect on the cool evenings. The home is under large trees and there are so many birds it is wonderful to have the windows open and listen to them. The view is beautiful. The river makes a relaxing sound and there have been geese and deer across the river that I have enjoyed watching. The deck is very large with a table and a gas grill for outdoor dining. Kitchen is well equipped and everything was very clean. The description of the amenities listed on the site is accurate. It feels secluded, but is only a few miles outside of the town of Front Royal where there is a good selection of resturants and grocery stores. The Mill located on Main street was a very good local resturant - casual with something for everyone on the menu and good service. Out near the interstate there is Applebees, TGI Fridays, and Crackerbarrel. There are also all of the fast food resturants to choose from. Of the grocery stores I liked Martins the most. They have a large selection of prepared food and a lot of meats that are ready to go on the grill with no prep work. The home is located less than an hour from the National Park and Luray Caverns. I would recommend Luray Caverns it was amazing. There are plenty of historical sites nearby and we were able to enjoy the Wine and Craft Festival in Front Royal during our stay. Owners were wonderful to deal with. I would recommend this home to anyone.

Little Red

We had a wonderful Easter weekend at Little Red. The house was comfortable and well decorated. The view of river from the main room was relaxing and the fireplace was cosy. Overall it was a great house. We went fishing (though unsucessfully!) and would have used the kayak or canoe but it was too cold and the river seemed pretty strong.

Hope to come back soon!

We stayed at Little Red with another couple for a long weekend and really loved it!! We loved that it was right on the river (we could just walk out of the house and go fly-fishing). The house was really clean and had a wonderful Great Room that was all windows and a deck where you could sit and watch the river. We would definitely go back there, especially since it's so close to the D.C. area.

We just returned from a fabulous weekend at Little Red. The cottage was very clean and offered all the amenities that one could want. The view and sound of the river were incredible.

There were brochures and books in the cottage describing the places to see in the area. Our one regret is that we were there for only two nights. We hope to return soon!

We were very pleased with out stay at the Little Red. The owners provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable - fresh, soft towels, brochures, area maps, etc. The cabin was very convenient to Shenandoah park, horseback riding, the vineyards and downtown Front Royal. The view from the great room was magnificent, as was the sound of the river below. The cabin was located in a very quiet, peaceful and safe area. We have never rented a cabin from someone we did not personally know, but Little Red made believers out of us. We highly recommend this quiet, clean and unassuming little place.
