Great house, great location

Review Submitted: August 16, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We were a group of 4 adults 2 kids and a baby. We stayed at the house for a week and had a very good time. The house was very clean and is very charming. Everything was as advertised.
The lake is very pleasant for swimming and water sports. There is a supermarket 5 minutes drive from the house. There are a lot of things to do in the area.
We will definitely consider the house for a next vacation.
Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback. Pls come back next yr.

We had a lovely get-together at the chalet. It is very charming, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck, surrounded by the quiet, beautiful woods. The grill, appliances, DVD player and internet access work very well. The chalet is close to the grocery store, public beach, and restaurants. It was very fast, easy and pleasant to communicate and transact with the owner. We did not have any problems.
Owner's Response: Thank you, Wey-wey. I am very happy to have your feedback.

Weather was a bit chilly in may, but we had a great time in this house around the fireplace. It is kept very clean and cozy, feels like your own home.

Lake Wallenpaupack Chalet

ruby1234 Pittsburgh, PA, USA
Review Submitted: September 5, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This home is clean and very charming. It has a beautiful porch, grill and is close to the lake which our kids loved swimming in. There are many wonderful things to do nearby, great shopping and ice cream. There are also many state parks and water activities in the area. Our disappointment was with the house temperature. It was very hot when we were there in July. There was no air conditioning as advertised. It did cool off at night, but all of the upstairs windows did not have screens. This made it hard to open them and cool things off. It was very uncomfortable to sleep upstairs. If you rent this chalet request a/c for the summer months, or that proper screens are installed throughout. We did enjoy our stay and had 10 people staying in the house. Bring a few extra sheets and towels.
Owner's Response: Thanks to global warming, it has been getting hotter each year. While we could go without AC until august, during this persons specific stay it was an especially hot July. Since the review was posted, we started installing the AC units in May. There are 2 window units in the downstairs area, and there is a large, indoor unit that you can put anywhere you like in the house. So in total we have 3 AC units available.

Lake Wallenpaupack Home

Review Submitted: January 9, 2008 Date of Stay: December 2007
The home is very clean and great for about 6-8max people. The living room has a great fireplace but is a bit small. Also, I would reccomend bringing extra kitchen items if you plan to cook a lot (tin foil, paper towels, sponge, frying pan, etc).
The house is close to many amenties such as food store, general store, restaurants, fireworks and antiques. There are plenty of places to take a walk through the woods if that is something you enjoy. My friends and I went for New Year's Eve weekend and had a blast! I would recommend this house for a small group of people.
