We stayed for a week in this house and had an amazing time. The house had something for everybody:a great screened-in sun porch; a nice outdoor deck with large dining table; two adirondack chairs for enjoying a "parents" cocktail; chaise lounges for sunbathing or evening star-gazing; and toys for both kids (trucks, etc.) and adults (kayaks, canoes, paddleboat).

The fishing across the quiet cove was excellent, and the sandy-bottom entry to the lake is great. We cooked a fair amount and while the kitchen equipment and space was not perfect, it worked fine and was overall better than most rentals. The TVs looked nice but we didn't even turn them on!

Overall, we found this house to be a perfect combination of lake charm and modern amenities. The house feels like it is right on the water.

This is a nice spot for a vacation. The cottage is a little rustic but very functional. We came with young children and between the water, the sandbox, feeding the ducks and area attractions (storyland is an hour away) they were very entertained. The property is nicely set up for an adult to sit and relax while having full view of children swimming and playing. I was also pleasantly surprised to find wireless internet access - very useful for finding local attractions, grocery stores, etc.

The cookware was stainless steel (I won't use aluminum or teflon) and there was a water dispenser so no worries about lugging water up with you. My only complaint was the lack of a proper dust cover on the pillows. The mattresses had dust covers but the pillows had only a cotton cover without a dust component. This caused an allergy problem for myself and my son which we solved by putting a garbage bag between the pillow and the pillow cover. As for other allergens, I did not notice any mold nor did the cottage smell of mildew like many cottages tend to.

Overall, a little pricy but a very nice location and very functional cottage.
