Hello Tony,

Thank you for renting your wonderful property. It is a great location with unreal surroundings. My friends and I had a blast. There was always something for us to do and the river was just perfect (clarity, pace and temp) for fishing, tubing, and swimming.

Also, thank you so much for getting the lawn cut low - we were able to play: bocce, frisbee golf, football, wiffle ball, etc.

This home was a very pleasant surprise. We have tried four different houses over the past Labor Days and this was the best by far. Clean, modern, and with everything one would want or need. This is a "real deal" rental. The satellite TV was a real plus on the opening weekend of college football!!

PS, There is a deep pool for fishing just left of the trees to the left of the property facing the river.

Comment Text: What a lovely week we enjoyed! The river house has all the makings for a great trip: clean, flowing river; a night sky full of stars; all the linens, kitchen gear needed and a very clean cabin. We put tubes in up the river and floated down. Also, we did a longer tube trip at New River General Store canoe/tube rental. The deck was cool in the evenings so we would grill or at least bring meals out there - or to our chairs sitting directly by the river. Blissful! Thank you so much for extending our stay through that first Friday night. Nice home, great owner. We want to plan another trip.

What a relaxing long week-end.Tranquility surely rules at your cabin.It's like a soul massage.Everything is just perfect there.Enjoyed it so much we came home and made reservationtions for (2) weeks later,(without the kids this time)and plan on going for a full week in the summer as well as next fall.
Thanks again Tony for a most needed vacation.Could not ask for a better place to relax and recharge and can"t wait to get back to our new home in the mountains.

Here's a tip:Go to Blowing Rock to the Dulcimer Shop and by the CD "Winterfall"
and play it while listening to the river flow.It's a Great CD anyway but it's opens up a whole different world
at the cabin.You will not be sorry!

Just a quick e-mail to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your chalet in NC.

The kids (13,15 & 20) loved tubing down the river time and time again!
For very computer and electronic literate kids, they actually had fun outdoors!

By the way, one of the days we were there, a tiny fawn decided to take a nap in front of a couple of trees and seemed to feel quite comfortable with us being there.
It didn't seem to mind when my 13 year old decided to take snapshots of it either.

It was a much needed relaxing time for us and we were also quite impressed at how kept the place is.

Also, being from Florida, we were amazed that we didn't need air conditioning! We were there the end of June thru the beginning of July and there was never a time we were uncomfortable.

Thanks again for everything!

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. everything was just as Tony described. My 9 year old daughter caught her first fish in the river in front of the cabin. I hope we are fortunate enough to stay again sometime.
