We visited this charming and well appointed beach cottage for a long weekend getaway. Tastefully furnished and decorated, replete with a splendid natural wood varnished surf board on display, evoking seashore thrills.
Easy walk to the beach, not at all commercialized. Portsmouth is an important and historic town nearby, great dining, boutique shopping, and user friendly for exploring.
Close by ( at the intersection of High Street and Lafayette Street) is the "Old Salt Restaurant", which served a fabulous Sunday brunch, not expensive.
After a day's activity, the cottage was a cozy and comfortable retreat.
Highly recommended. We plan to return.

This beach cottage was everything the owner described and more! Well stocked kitchen, comfy living spaces, plenty of very comfy beds (1 queen, 2 dbls & a futon), a lovely, updated bath, washer & dryer (!), a great backyard for games and bbqs with a shed full of beach toys & chairs at your disposal. Also plenty of parking and a fantastic front deck w/a view of the weekly fireworks! Just a short walk to the beach as well. Will definitely rent this wonderful cottage again and would recommend it to everyone!

My Family and I stayed here last week, Was amazed at how clean the house and property was, The owners made sure you would have everything you could possibly need while you are there, and so much more!

This is great for familys with children, as you had a pack n play, high chair, stroller, toys, books, games, vhs tapes etc. Kids enjoyed the wagon the most! The yard was great for kids to run around in!

Came with a washer/dryer which came in handy, the outdoor shower was amazing! Tons of dishes, cooking supplys, grill was excellent! Came with soap, shampoo, asprins, toliet paper, paper towels, citronella candle, dish soap, laundry soap, softner, bleach...well you name it!

About a 5 minute walk to the beach, at the end of the st is an ice cream/candy store, a bar and grill and a surf shop. Location was excellent!

House was just the right size, not to small and not to large, plenty of room for large familys. House was bright and cheery, would go back in a heartbeat! We did not want to leave, could have stayed there forever!

I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Hope to be back next year

We just spent a week at the house with 3 kids and had a blast. The house was the perfect size with all of the amenities that we needed. The kids loved the outside shower after the beach and the yard was a great size for running around. We were able to walk to the beach with 3 young kids.

Best part is that it is in a quiet location and away from the hubbub of the boardwalk but close enough to visit for games, treats, fireworks, etc.

Enroute to the beach is a sandwich shop, sit down restaurant, and ice cream shop.

We spent a lovely week in this great beach house. We have 2 young children who made the most of the nearby beach and the great equipment provided. We didn't travel far as there was no need - the beach and the house and decks were sufficient to create the best environment for a really relaxing sunny week by the ocean.
The nearby beach isn't as crowded as further down towards Hampton and when the tide is out there are great rockpools to explore - starfish, sea urchins, crabs etc. There are a couple of cafes down the street as well as a great surf shop and home-made candy store.
Other activities are really close by - such as mini golf and whale watching from Rye Harbour - both of which the children loved.

The house had everything we needed (and more!) and we found it hard to leave!
