Our group of three couples loved our ten days at Casa Mullaney, Jan-Feb 2009. For one couple, this was their first to Playa, for another it was their second, for another it was their third. It was the first time renting a house together for a trip.

The house was perfect for us - plenty of space to be together or to have our own quiet time. The open-air entry way is quite unusual! The house is designed well for letting the refreshing breezes in.

Staff were friendly and did not get in our way. The home-cooked meal was a VERY nice treat! Yummy! We had our massages out on the screened porch - it was so nice!

The location was perfect. We spent much of our time out at the beach, but it was nice to have the pool for the couple of times the beach was very windy.

Somehow the front veranda became our morning coffee-read-gather spot. It was so relaxing to have no schedule to rush off to!

We didn't cook that much, but used the grill once, and everything in the kitchen worked well. Each day we'd make the nice walk into town, different times on different days. Definately close enough to take in the 5th Ave shopping and Playa restaurants in town, on the beach, and a bit off-the-beaten-path.

There was something about the TV we couldn't get to work -- maybe the DVD player? but we didn't try to watch that often.

The overhead picture of Casa Mullaney is still the screensaver on my computer.

Thanks, Nick and all for a wonderful vacation. (It was fun to finally meet Heather after some years of communication on PlayaInfo). We're agreed we just might have to go again.

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much we enjoyed our time at Casa Mullaney. The house was everything we'd hoped for, the services (transfers, cleaning, cook, and masseuse) were all excellent, and Mike and everyone else at Caribe Sunrise were amazingly helpful and attentive. Thank you so much for helping to make for a great vacation in Playa.

As others have commented, the beach is very close and very quiet compared to other parts of Playa. The pool is also in the backyard instead of the front on the road like so many other vacaton rentals we saw. We'd recommend Casa Mullaney and Playa to anyone.

What can we say...WOW!! Our family, 9 adults in
total, have just returned form a wonderful 2 week
christmas trip to Mexico , made so in large part
because of our stay at Casa Mullaney and our
business dealings with Nick.
The home is lovely, maid service excellent, and the
beach....WOW!!
We have visited the Mayan Riveria on several
occasions, always staying in all inclusives- this trip
with our very own house was a great way to do with
a large family gathering.
We had a wonderful Christmas, ate exceptionally
well:) and appreciated the many acts of kindness
from Nick.
Casa Mullaney has everything you want- a beautiful
ocean 30 feet away, quiet privacy, lots of different
rooms to hang out in, a large pool in the backyard
and wonderful staff in the Playacar Vacations office
who helped us with bookings, reservations etc.
Diane was exceptional.
Taxi service is easily accessible, but we found we
walked the 15 minute walk in Playa every day.
Grocery stores were excellent.
The house had all furnishings and equipment we
needed. The van drivers that transported us back
and forth from the airport were great- Angel ended
up taking all of our family members to the house
and we all felt like we knew him:)
We arrived in three groupings on different days.
This was our first venture in renting a house for
vacation and of course we were somewhat
apprehensive- what a great experience it was for
us.
A very special thank you to Nick and everyone for
their kindness and support when our 29 year old
son had an attack of appendicitis an hour before he
was to depart to the Cancun airport. A beautiful,
modern hospital was a short 5 minute drive from
the house and within hours he was in recovery after
an operation. We all had to depart and leave him in
a Mexican hospital....but we felt we were leaving
him in good hands.
Our family would give Nick and Casa Mullaney a 6
star rating:)

We stayed at Casa Mullaney in May of '08 for a week, and it was fantastic. Having one of the bigger pools in the community, great big bbq, and the beach within 30 feet walking was priceless. We'll be back.

What a wonderful vacation we had at Casa Mullaney! This house could not have been more perfect for our vacation with our two boys and parents. Nick was very helpful and did a great job making sure all our questions were answered. The employees that cooked, cleaned and gardened were very friendly and more than willing to help. We did have some communication problems with the management company but nothing that will prevent us from coming back in the future. Thanks Nick!!

We enjoyed a week over Christmas with our five young adult children/spouses. The three bedrooms are very private and the lay out of the house accommodates full-group fun or individual retreat. The large patio/pool area has several places to lose oneself in a good book. The beach is just across the street. The kitchen is fairly well stocked - but could use some new silverware. (There weren't enough forks!) We struggled with too little hot water until we fiddled with the continuous hot water heater system. The house is in a lovely neighborhood within walking distance of town.

Our family of 5 recently stayed at Casa Mullaney for 7 nights. It was our first visit to Mexico and we were a little apprehensive about renting a house & being more on our own than doing the all-inclusive thing at a resort. It was a great experience and one that none of us will ever forget. We did end up renting a car so could drive to other locations rather than take a bus but having the car isn't required. We always felt safe, the maids were very friendly and the management company answered all of our questions. We already miss the birds chirping and the relaxing atomsphere of the house.

Casa Mullaney was a perfect Mexican beach house! Doors everywhere to open up the house and feel as if you were outdoors all the time, The beach is steps away! The villa had a unique design that was very tropical and open. The pool, patio and lush tropical plantings were awesome! If the beach was too windy, you had your own retreat either in the house or poolside. A lot of the homes in the area had pools that were not private at all (literally on the curb)and they were half the size of Mullaney's pool. The walk to town was not bad and populated enough to feel safe, but with one quick call, a cab would be at your door in a few minutes (make sure you are not in a hurry, it is Mexico). We never paid more than $5.00 to go anywhere or to return to the villa. The neighbors were friendly, the locals just as nice. I would thoroughly recommend Casa Mullaney to anyone. It is perfect for families or groups. This was a girls long weekend away and we could not have asked for better. I will bring my family on my next trip which I am looking forward to. One more comment, the drivers that took care of the airport transportation were great. This is a feature that you will certainly appreciate.

We stayed at Casa Mullaney over the 2006 Christmas holidays and had a wonderful time. The Home is unique and incredibly comfortable and relaxing. It is wonderful to be in a quiet, residential, tropical neighborhood but still be only a 15 minute walk from any touristy activity you might want and outstanding restaurants. The maid did an incredible job every day and the pool was perfect to sit around and just relax. I am extremely jealous of Nick for having this amazing place to stay at whenever he chooses.
