Chill Out..Take the Polar Pony Plunge in the Atlantic
We lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia and tried all of the seashores from Cape Cod, Long Beach Island, Ocean City NJ, Wildwood, Cape May, Rehoboth, Bethany, and Fenwick Island, DE, and Ocean City MD and St Michaels and other Eastern Shore MD and Eastern Shore VA towns, including Cape Charles and Deal island, and Virginia Beach, Hilton Head, OBX in NC, and GA islands before vacationing with our family on Chincoteague. We fell in love with the island, but by staying in little cottages and always hoping to find a nice place to rent sometime, but there were very few. So we looked at waterfront homes for sale and eventually purchased a lot with 125 ft of waterfront and chose to have a home that would suit our family of 4 kids and hoping it might turn out to be a popular vacation rental if we did everything 'right'.

Please read the reviews from all of the wonderful guests who have stayed at Spinnaker Waterfront! Click on the link for Reviews, or see the reviews on our own ponyisland website. (We are also planning on posting them to Facebook shortly)We purchased the land with the advice of design architect Richard Vesely who then designed Spinnaker Waterfront Vacation Rental House for us. His designs are about light and space and how they come together .... you need to be in a room that he designed in order to appreciate it. For example, you can enjoy the water views while actually 'sitting' in the Great Room due to low windows and french glass doors; you don't even have to lift your head up from the pillows in the master bedroom to enjoy the water views. The new master bathroom makes Spinnaker your very own great resort and spa!

November 3, 2012?”Chin-dig!”?The Chincoteague Island Family YMCA benefit event, a hootin’, hollerin’ western-themed event with art and decoy auction, dinner and dancing.
In our opinion, Richard Vesely is a design genius and until you're actually inside Spinnaker Waterfront, you don't realize how he worked backward to capture the views from different rooms -- he did this before doing the design by sitting on top of a step ladder on the empty lot and working backward with the views in mind.
We were very fortunate to get Richard back in 2012 for the addition and upgrades and guests report that the two additional bathrooms seem like they were built with the original house. The bathrooms are fantastic -- both have walk-in showers that do not require shower curtains and one has light from a skylight and the other has a jacuzzi and double sinks. Both new bathrooms are granite.
