"My husband and I just spent a wonderful, quiet vacation week at the house. It was directly on the lake, with access from the dock. We were able to use the kyacks and boats, the firepit and screened in porch. The house was filled with great and useful information about the area, was spotless and had everything we needed. We were so grateful to be able to bring our dog! The owner was excellent with communication and open and responsive to our needs. We would highly recommend this spot for a vacation!"
thank you,

A casual lake vacation for the whole family!

Review Submitted: August 25, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Our family (6 grown adults) gathered for a wonderful week in Aug, 2009 at this lakefront cottage. Despite close neighboring cottages, we had breakfast every morning in our pj's sitting out on the dock, with our feet dangling in the water! We loved the hammock, the campfire pit, and the grill. We also loved the two kayaks, canoe, & rowboat (life jackets included) even though they were shared with the family that was renting next door. The lake could be a little noisy, with a very large camp located on one shore & some speedboat traffic, but the house is on a little inlet so it never got too intrusive. The house was excellently maintained: the kitchen sufficiently stocked, the beds surprisingly comfortable, the two bathrooms new & immaculate, and the fireplace very cozy. It was a great added bonus to have a washer & drier in the basement. The owners couldn't have been more organized & pleasant to work with. We highly recommend this site! We'll always remember our week there very fondly! (It's 9 miles to a grocery store, 6 miles to a package store, and more like 30 min driving time to Jacob's Pillow, & 1 hr to Williamstown theatre performances & Mass MoCA in North Adams. The Peter Pan bus stop in Pittsfield is a 15 minute drive away from the lake.)

A nice house for a family vacation

We had a wonderful family get-together in this very nice property. The house is clean and spacious. The bathrooms are new, clean and big. The kitchen has everything we needed. we used the kayaks and canoes. We had a good time around the bon-fire at night, cooking and talking and taking pictures. The markets are nearby. Getting up early in the morning to look at the beautiful scene on the lake was a wonderful experience. We had a ggod time hiking in the Grey Rocks. The kids had a ggod time playing in the Jimneay Peak Park. The owner, Mike, is a very friendly gentleman. He called in to make sure everything was OK. All in all, we had a wonderful time.

This was our first family vacation and the location was PERFECT! The little one had a chance to experience water and sand. Husband and I had a wonderful time at night sitting, looking at the water and playing Scrabble (he won both times!). The property was exquisite. The house is extremely clean and well taken care of. The owner is extremely responsive and came out to the property on a Sunday to help fix the internet. The views are gorgeous and the area is very friendly. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat. Pittsfield is about 15 minutes away and all amenities are available there. Day trips are easy to get to.

Great Weekend

I spent a weekend with fiance' at the lakehouse from 4/24-4/26. We got exceptionally lucky as the weather was in the mid 80's and going out on the lake was amazing. We spent a lot of time exploring the lake in the canoe, rowboat, and kyaks, barbecuing, and rexaing by the fire. I proposed to my finace' in front of the fire shortly after making s'mores. I had an exceptionally amazing time here and I just wanted to thank you for everything. The house is very well maintined and this spot is a great getaway into a beautiful and quiet area

My husband and I enjoyed our time away in the Berkshires. We were looking for a relaxing get-away. A place that we could do some fishing, read a book, or just enjoy the view. I really enjoyed having my morning coffee sitting out by the lake and listening to nature.

This property was wonderful with all the ammenities we needed. The home was very spacious and clean. The owner called to check in and to make sure we were satisified with everything. This extra attention goes a long way!

We really enjoyed cooking out with the supplied gas grille and loved having a fire every night out back overlooking the lake in the "fire pit". (extra gas tank for the grille on the property and fire wood for us to use... an added bonus!)

A wonderful and relaxing get-away!!
